The best vacation! We love cottage 71!

We love Cottage #71 at Live Oak Landing! It really feels like you are getting two vacations in one with all the luxury camping vibes at LOL while being a short drive to the most beautiful beaches along 30A. Kim and the LOL office staff are absolutely amazing and helpful! This is truly our happy place and can't wait to go back soon!

Not what it used to be

We stayed here two years ago and loved it, we stay for months at a time. This year we came back and it has definitely changed, it felt more like a moble home park as so many unpleasant permanent residents now live there. They have stuff everywhere, one even had his food truck parked in his lot! The pool was not clean, they had old crappy furniture around the pool, the screen on the door to the pool had a huge hole, there was no need to know the code to get into the pool area, so any kid could get in there without a parent . I guess the lights in the trees don’t work anymore so they just cut the electrical cords to the lights and they just dangle and blow in the breeze. The boat they advertise to use, I wouldn’t step foot on, overall it has definitely gone downhill. The one good thing it does have a huge dog park. It was so bad we left a month early!

Not at all recommended

Went we got there it was so disappointing, we had no direction on where are site is at. They have such a disgusting pool and it is not salt water. The site has more sand than grass. You only see any staff but 2 times a day to pick up garbage. They have so many bugs that you can’t stay outside a long without getting eaten. Also there have very few things to do, their website is not at all what it looks like, their furniture in the pool area is falling apart, the gate is not safe same as the fence around it, forget to mention their picnic table are rotting and falling apart.

Cozy, Quiet, and Close to the Coast

This park was super peaceful and full of beautiful trees that gave us tons of shade, which we loved. It had such a relaxing vibe and felt really tucked away in nature.
We didn’t use the amenities since we spent our time at the beach, but the location is amazing. You’re just a short drive from some of the most gorgeous beaches around.
The sites are nice, and all the trees make it feel cozy and private. If you have a bigger rig, just take your time getting in because some of the trees are decorative and there’s not a ton of extra space. It wasn’t a problem for us, just something to be mindful of.
Overall, it was a great stay and we’d definitely come back.

Best time at Live Oak Landing

We stayed in one of the cottages while our kids and their 7 children camped at site 49. It’s a beautiful campground and so quiet. The bathrooms were very clean and the grands loved fishing, riding their bikes and scooters. The clubhouse when it wasn’t being used was so much fun for our big group. We went to the beach at Grayton Park, it’s only about a 20 minute drive. It had plenty of parking spaces if you got there by 11:00. It’s only $5 for entry. The campground is so close to San Destin, we took advantage of all the villages on 30A. I’d come back here in a minute and would definitely recommend to all my friends. It’s the next best place to stay if you can’t camp on the beach!! Thank you for a very wonderful time!
