Hotel charged $20 extra to check in 2 hours prior to their check in of 4:00PM. The keys didn’t work the first time around. The hallways have no AC and it’s very hot. Upon entering the room we noticed multiple pieces of hair around the tub. Went downstairs to advise the front desk. The housekeeping supervisor came upstairs with me. She was very nice and apologetic. She advised me the hotel manager would call me. Brittany (I believe that was her name) called and was NOT very apologetic in fact she stated “It’s just a few pieces of hair”. That set me over the edge… if that’s her attitude about hotel cleanliness we were not sleeping in that bed. As a matter of fact, I advised her we will not be spending the night and she stated they have a cancellation policy which I replies I don’t care. I’m not staying in a dirty room. She proceeded to hang up on me. She obviously is in the wrong line of work. We got our bags and left. Did not spend the night in the dirty lodge and nasty staff!

Because I have arthritis, I needed an ADA Compliant room. The room and the facilities in the room to accommodate my disability were outstanding.

We arrived early on 8-1 before check in and we're told there are no rooms ready but we would be assigned a room when ready.
We watched several people check in after us and all were checked in with assigned room. I asked the young lady why others were given rooms but not us. She said she doesn't know as there is no information on the computer. 2 more couples were given rooms so I asked to speak to the manager but was told by same young lady that there is no manager on duty. I said really no manager and you don't know why you are assigning rooms to everyone but us?
When our room became available she slipped up and mentioned we had booked through a 3rd party Expedia/Hotels.com so now I understood. Booking direct the lodge makes $23 more than through a 3rd party. Question is should guests booking through 3rd party be treated differently than other guests.
I watched her give every guest detailed information about the hotel, area, where the elevator is etc. When our registration was complete the "B" said your in 305 and nothing more. I then had to ask which direction to our room. Stay across the street ay Hilton Vacations. Done with this place!

Short staffed, which I assume isn’t the first time, leaving the restaurant and bar closing early or not opened at all due to ongoing staffing issues. The game room was a waste of money as the games did not work properly or give prizes when won leading to upset kids and staff does not have key bc managed by outside company who are not onsite(how convenient). The staff tried to get into our room at 1040pm saying they did not have us checked in and left extra keys taped to the outside of our door that we found in the morning(very unprofessional and naive). On the other hand, the room was clean and beds were comfortable and the pool and hot tub were very nice for us and children. Overall, nice room, clean, pool and hot tub nice but don’t depend on restaurant being opened or good food/service.
