Tranquil hotel within walking distance to town. Nice view of town from the property. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was large with medieval touches.

Disappointed with the menu

I visited the Parador de TUI on August 9th with an experience box for two lunches; reviewing the menu, besides being very limited, there were very few local dishes, and my biggest surprise was when ordering the wine included with the gift box, it was a white Barbadillo from Cádiz (terrible) while being in the Rías Baixas where there are many wineries with good wines; they need to take better care of the Parador restaurants to make them more attractive for dining; regarding the restaurant service, one person was somewhat rude and another very kind.

You'd expect more from a hotel of this type. At least waiters who speak English and do not pour half a liter of sangria on the table, as well as a working laundry instead of advice to washing at a gas station.

Good hotel and breakfast, but an embarrassingly poor dinner experience
We had a mixed stay at Parador de Tui. The hotel itself was pleasant, and the breakfast the next morning was genuinely good – fresh, well prepared, and exactly what you would expect from a Parador.
Unfortunately, the dinner in their so‑called restaurant was a completely different story. The staff did not speak a single word of English and showed no willingness to explain the menu or help us understand the options. We were offered the “dish of the day”, only to discover that they had enough for just two people, even though we were four.
The food that was available was far below the standard you would expect, especially considering the high prices. Overall, the experience felt careless and unprofessional, and the value for money was simply not there.
A good hotel and a good breakfast, but the dinner service was so poor that it overshadowed the positive parts of the stay.

Disappointing breakfast

Breakfast disappointing. Cooked breakfast cold and had to look for service for a cooked breakfast. Overall expected more from Paradeso but receptionist was very helpful.
