Fantastic hostel in a great place

I booked a single private room and cannot complain! It’s a hostel! Didn’t matter if there is a tv or not!
My room was clean and comfortable!
The little shower room was perfect to keep fresh and the shower gel provided was lovely. Bed comfortable and has a good nights sleep, even when the square was busy. Working air conditioning which in this heat was a plus.
I will no doubt stay here again! Especially when Santa Tecla is on.

HORRIBL

I do not recommend this hotel at all.
There is no light in the bathroom, no feeling of cleanliness. There's no elevator, I came with a baby carriage. There's a lot of noise. There's no reception.
They don't even give you a duvet, they leave you a blanket used by everyone with a sheet.
Anyway, a horror, you can't rest

No hygiene, no safety, no dignity, but cockroaches

TL:DR: Run.
Detailed version: I had booked a single room for one night based on the guide of the Routard who mentioned small but clean rooms. On arrival, the machine that was supposed to allow automated check-in did not recognize my file. Fortunately, I used to arrive at times when there was an employee to do it.
The room was very small and bare, but could have been clean... except that I very quickly noticed major health and safety problems.
No smoke detector, only an empty rack! And in an old building with exposed beams on the ceiling...
The shower cubicle was a disaster with its base made of no-do-nothing joints and damaged wood, all heartily attacked by moisture and mold. I saw one cockroach in the evening and another the next morning, I would have changed hotels if it wasn't too late. The kind of false plywood ceiling over the shower is the worst shower idea I've ever seen, it's mold guaranteed there too and the false ceiling tiles were in bad shape. This false ceiling was all the more incomprehensible as the main room has a much higher ceiling.
The shower curtain stops nothing at all and, as I feared, the bathroom floor was flooded heartily despite my efforts not to splash.
The drain plate in the shower was dislodging from its holder when I set foot in it, risk of falling guaranteed if you are not careful.
There was a leak at the showerhead, so there was no way to limit the humidity.
I also liked the socket way too close to the hand washbasin, not to mention that to use the hairdryer hung on the side wall, you have to plug it into this socket so that the cable hangs almost in the hand washbasin, it's a big deal in terms of electrical safety.
Next door, the large lizard that split the tiles on the wall near the toilet, it was "almost" no big deal...
After seeing the cockroach, I at least wanted to close the door... except it didn't close, it was an old wooden leaf a little veiled. (No way to open it entirely either, by the way, because of the bed.)
And I only talked about security issues. Let's go to "comfort"... ha ha (no).
I've been assigned room 13 on the second floor. At 2pm on a sunny day in July, I had to turn on the light to see, it looked like it was in a basement because of a narrow window with a view obstructed by something (?). On the other hand, at night, no way to have darkness, light filter from the window and there is no curtain or shutter, you better be well sleep to sleep. You could hear the sounds of dishes, probably from a nearby restaurant.
The bathroom was so tiny that I had to turn around to get out. Sitting on the toilet seat, I had my nose on the washbasin.
We finish with the cherries on the arsenic pudding. The hand washbasin is molded in such a way that the inclined enamel drops into the water everything you want to lay near the tap. The remote control of the air conditioner has a wall bracket so badly screwed that it falls every time, park to you so as not to scatter its batteries on the floor.
Frankly, it was such a caricature of a bad hotel room that if I put it in a movie, they'd accuse me of making tons of it. At the moment, I'm especially interested in a health and safety inspection of this hotel.

A good rest on your visit to Tarragona

Very busy square with atmosphere in Tarragona, in front of the remains of the stones of the old Tarraco you can have a vermouth in its many bars that surround it.
