Tranquility and trust

The place is beautiful. And the people at Duermevela make you feel at home. I have been residing at Duermevela for almost two months and have stayed at several hostels in Segovia, but I prefer Duermevela. I advise you to stay at Duermevela if you come to Segovia, best regards

A very small dorm for a very high price

The bathrooms are good, being separate rooms rather than cubicles and having nice showers. There is a common room, kitchen, dining room and big attic television room/second common room. It's really just a few steps from the aqueduct.
The four-bed dorm is unbelievably small, far smaller than I would expect even two children to share. The upper bunks are also very low so you feel extremely constrained in the lower ones. The first night the only other person was a guy who seemed as though he had been staying quite a while. When he wanted to close the window he just turned my open case, which was behind my bed, upside down so that everything fell out instead of just closing it and/or moving it carefully like a normal person. The next night there was another guy who just stayed on his bed (next to mine) the whole time from checking in in the afternoon. It was so awkward that I just slept in the attic that night instead. The dorm is just too small for complete strangers to cohabit in comfortably. I have stayed in hundreds of hostels worldwide and don't remember a tighter dorm ever. It's €20 per person, whereas a larger private room is €30. Unfortunately I couldn't afford that, but if you can, take it instead.

Nice, quite and cozy hostel in a very central position

I had an excellent stay! It's a little and clean hostel, situated in a great position, very close to the Roman acueduct. The receptionist with whom I did the check in was very nice, she gave me a map and some useful pieces of advice regarding where to go and what to visit (also the less touristic spots). I was in a spare 4-people-room but there was only another girl in mine so it was very quite, perfect to sleep well. Besides, the hostel is in a central area but at the same time it's in a narrow and quite street.
The kitchen had everything I needed to cook and eat a good meal, the bathrooms were enough (there were many) and clean.
On the upper floor there is a very comfortable and cozy common area with sofas, pillows and a TV with a wide choice of DVDs, so it's perfect to spend a relaxing night watching a movie.
There are also a couple supermarkets not far from the hostel.

Great place

It was a rainy week so there wasn't that much people at the hostel, but the environment was realy good still, the staff was super friendly and literary showed me all there is to see in the city. It's in a great location and the price is very fair

Madrid Camino stopover

Less than a few minutes walk to the center and the beautifully preserved Roman viaduct.
The hostel has a homly feel about it. Its well organised, has a comfortable lounge and dining room. Small but well appointed kitchen.
The shared room was a little tight for space but was exceptionally clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Each bunk bed had an individual light and powerpoint. Storage space under the lower bunk.
Shared shower and toilet. Plenty of hotwater. Excellent shower.
Friendly and very helpful staff.
