Brilliant

A place with a lot of charm and a staff of 10. They know how to treat the customer. Everything is super neat and clean. I hope to have the opportunity to return when the weather is good and to be able to enjoy the garden. Thank you for some fantastic days of disconnection.

Terrible experience and improper, unspecified charges

I booked a room that explicitly included a whirlpool tub on the invoice and trip confirmation. However, upon arriving at the accommodation, they demanded an additional payment of €30 per day to be able to use it.
​Despite showing the documentation where it was clear that the service was already contracted and included, they flatly refused to allow us to use it without paying said extra. As if that were not enough, the travel agency tried to get in touch with the establishment to resolve the incident and they didn't even answer the call.
​No apologies, no solutions, and no compensation whatsoever from the accommodation. A total lack of professionalism and transparency toward the customer. I do not recommend it at all.

Friendly inn with good breakfast but not so good sleep quality

The inn is extremely clean, everything smells nice and the little personal touches make each room unique. The garden is beautiful and well looked after, it is pleasant to spend time there. However, in the upstairs area where we stayed the walls are very thin. You can hear people and noise from all rooms on the same floor. Breakfast is exceptional - there is something freshly prepared (e.g a tortilla) every day and there are cakes too in addition to the Spanish staple food (ham, cheese) and cereals. I would be nice if breakfast started earlier, by the time you finish, half of the morning is gone. The keepers are lovely ladies, however they only speak Spanish.
Although the location is lovely quiet, nothing (restaurants, shops etc) is accessible on foot.

Friendly, quiet location

Good location for one hour drive to Bilbao Airport.
Very clean smallish room in a boutique type hotel. Would be excellent with some storage.
Wonderful reception with an owner who speaks no English. A great breakfast.

Peace, quiet and relaxation prior to a long trip

We wanted somewhere quiet to stay, near to Santander, prior to the voyage home. This ticked all the boxes being up a country lane, very reminiscent of Somerset. Very clean throughout, friendly young ladies who run it, I suppose a Boutique Hotel. Delicious breakfast with small pieces of toasted bread with ham & fried egg inside being particularly noteworthy. It has a bar but does not have a restaurant for lunchtime or eve meals. However there are two Spanish Restaurants adjacent to each other no more than 5 mins walk away. One was closed the day we were there but the other had a huge selection of dishes - enormous portions though. About 15 mins drive from Ferry.
