Great family business
Great family run hotel with a very welcoming feel.
The owner is always on hand to answer any questions, assisted us with local information and booking taxis.
Do not be put off by the 2 stars, we had a newly renovated room and the place is beautiful, air con perfect and a very safe feel to the place. My adult daughter (21) stopped here as a solo traveller before I met up with her and she had no problems at all.
Could not have asked for more.
The owner is always on hand to answer any questions, assisted us with local information and booking taxis.

Very nice little hotel
A small rustic hotel on the outside, with all the comforts on the inside. The rooms and common areas are clean, with a large comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. Check-in kiosk that allows for arrival at any hour.
We just regret the absence of a bar for the evening and our terrace that was on the corridor of the floor.

Great hotel
This is a fab small friendly hotel 5 minute walk down to the Boulevard and the beach. The couple who run it were very welcoming and helpful.
The building has a Spanish rustic feel to it but the rooms are modern - white walls and dark wood.
Great air con. Tv with hundreds of channels.
Hanging space open and lots of hangers but no long hanging space. Plenty of shelf space.
The in-room safe is small and wouldn’t fit my iPad. And it uses an actual key (as does the room) so I ended up carrying two keys around.
Toiletries in the bathroom means hand soap and shower gel only.
Bathroom - compact space but fine for one. Great shower with waterfall and standard shower heads. Lovely soft white towels.
I had room 7 which overlooked the road at the front so I heard a little bit of noise but not much from other guests. It had a double bed which was comfortable and ample electric sockets including either side of the bed. I also had a large balcony.
Breakfast was served 8am to 10.30am and cost €13. Good selection of cereals, breads, patties, cake, fruit, yoghurt plus hot food - bacon and the best scrambled eggs I’ve tasted in a long time.
The pool isn’t large but ample to cool down in. Approx 8 sun loungers and some white chairs around it. I did get bitten while around the pool and mosquitos are an issue in Mallorca so bring mosquito repellent. I bought a plug-in for the room although the air con definitely helped.
The office isn’t manned after 4pm but there is a WhatsApp number for the owner in case of need. I checked in after 4pm so they use a self check in machine which distributes the key once you’ve entered all the information they need.
I was here solo and felt perfectly safe and I would happily return.

This is how to feel comfortable at Don Carlos: Engaged, personal, very clean, top service, renovated.
Very tidy and family-run hotel. Centrally located yet still quiet. There are free parking spaces in the nearby area.
The dedicated, motivated owners and the friendly staff are hands-on and are immediately available for specific help and questions.
The service is top-notch, and the hotel and accommodation are well-maintained and very clean.
It is obvious that the Hostal Step-by-Step is being renovated... construction noises or dirt: Not at all!
Our room and others shown to us by manager Alessandra were simple, well-designed, and renovated. A simple room and a functional shower room. We had good mattresses, a quiet air conditioner, a small minibar fridge, and a kettle. The small room safe is unnecessary because it is too small and not sufficiently secured to the property. But there is a hotel safe for important items.
Those arriving with large luggage may not find the usual opulent closets here – we had an open wardrobe with hangers and shelves. For us, that was completely sufficient. There are hardly any storage options in the bathroom, so hanging toiletry bags are recommended. Those who are a bit organized can manage well with the room.
We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

A nice house pleasant tranquility great rooms great views and great location behind the boulevard so everything within walking distance
Perfect size of pool we even had pleasant music with us
Umbrellas and things on demand were always provided
We will be back and are already looking forward to it
