Little hidden gem
Well what a lovely 4 day break we just had at this hotel ☺️ Can Pastilla is a lovely area.
Just a 5 minute drive from the airport and everything you need for a short trip to Majorca
Positives:
* We didn't arrive until 1.30am and the reception was manned and open with a very friendly welcome. Upgraded free of charge and also given a lovely welcome bag with water, olives, crisps, Cava etc
*Stayed in Room 305 which had a pool view and was equipped with a fridge, kettle, toaster and facilities to make your own food.
*Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe which was a great bonus.
*The staff are so helpful. Only a small team but always someone on hand at Reception or the bar.
*The bar is open for light bites at lunchtime like pizza, burgers, hot dogs etc at a very reasonable price .
*Great cocktails for €8 each and pints of local lager for €4 but these are served in plastic cups if you want to take them down to the pool area.
* Pool towels can be hired for a €10 euro cash deposit which is repaid back to you when you hand them back in at the end of your stay. This is brilliant if you don't have room to pack one in a small weekend bag.
*Nice and comfy sunbeds around the pool and good umbrellas if you want a shaded spot.
*Reception booked us a taxi to take us back to the airport. Fare was €18. You can get the A2 bus from nearby instead which is fairly regular and costs €5 each.
*Bus stop a 2 minute walk away which takes you directly into Palma centre for €2. Bus No 35. Highly recommend if you want to visit the Cathedral or marina for a day trip and only takes about 20mins.
*Beautiful beach a 5 minute walk away and can recommend Mai Mai for good drinks and food with a lovely view down there.
*Supermarket literally on the corner where you can stock up on essentials but also serves great fresh fruit cut up in tubs. These were less than €3 each.
Negatives:
Not many really so being quite picky here...
*Rooms only cleaned every other day, which was not an issue for us but a good idea to maybe dry your towels on the balcony on an evening if you're not getting fresh ones daily.
*Rooms only have single beds pushed together and not a standard double. Fairly comfortable but do quite easily push apart.

Worst hotel
Avoid at all costs! This is, without a doubt, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
We booked a two-week stay through a third-party website, but the experience was so awful that we checked out early and lost all the money we had paid in advance.
The room smelled strongly of mold. Everything was stained, dirty, moldy, and rusty. It felt like a serious health hazard.
The beds were incredibly hard because the sheets were placed directly on the spring mattress with no proper mattress topper, making them extremely uncomfortable.
We booked a two-week stay through a third-party website, but the experience was so awful that we checked out early and lost all the money we had paid in advance.

Do not waste your money, built in 1963 and sheets on bed probably bought in same year, stayed in better room in a bothy.

On arrival at hotel reception the person booking us in did not do the hotel any favours whatsoever, no welcome and no personality whatsoever, got our key and went to our room and was shocked at how small it was, 2 small single beds with no space between them and to get in one of them you had to climb over the bed to get into it as jammed between a wall and the other bed, Only one socket that you could use for all electrical items, kettle, toaster and phone chargers etc. When using the socket you had to put the kettle/toaster on the one and only bedside cabinet as no room to put it elsewhere. Balcony was not as in photos, stuck in a corner of the building with a space about 1 metre wide to view out, Stayed 2 nights then made a complaint, got moved to a slightly larger room which did have 3 sockets to use but in an awkward location. Bedsheets not wide enough for bed and were about as old as the building as was the one and only pillow you get,
The water pressure in room was certainly not adequate and on 4/5 occasions could not flush the toilet as no water, bathroom sink obviously had a problem as took ages to empty the sink, overall condition of rooms in a very bad state, probably never been touched since 1963 when hotel was built
One night at approximately 21:15 hrs me and my wife thought we would have a game of pool, as we were looking at the slot to put your money in to see what it cost the person that booked us in started shouting down at us from reception 20 yds away then proceeded to come towards us in a fowl mood shouting at my wife “can you not read, no playing pool after 21:00 hrs, very unpleasant man with attitude ( think his name was Oscar) ? Rest of staff very pleasant !!
Good points , pool area was nice enough and always got a sunbed probably due to the fact that the pool area was surrounded by buildings and sun only got to parts of the pool area and you had to change beds about 4 times throughout the day

Horrible.
If you like rust, mold & dirt, this is the hotel for you! This is without a doubt the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We paid 8000kr for 4 nights. Inside the room we are greeted by the fridge in the middle of the room, the door wide open & the plug pulled out (this to save electricity I guess?). There is fly invasion in the room, stains on bedspreads & bed linen. Most of it has mold, everything from refrigerator, shower curtain and shower head. What hasn't been molded has rusted. One night we managed to stay, this one sleepless because it is lived over throughout the nights. The staff is totally ignorant of the fact that the hotel room is not of an okay standard & mean that we have to blame ourselves as booked room without balcony (they said that the rooms above the basement where we ended up are newer & nicer). After 3 trips to the reception where we have been refused a refund we claim back 2 out of 4 nights even though we only stayed 1. It was an expensive story when we panicked and had to look for a new hotel, the alternative was to book a new hotel or go home, because it had ruined the rest of the holiday to stay here. We'll never set foot here again!

The staff working here is just great, every single one we met is sooo nice and amazingly helpful!
I dont write many reviews, but they deserve the credit and we didn’t want to leave. Especially since the pool was filled now, but next time - Next time we will swim… ;)
