WITHOUT HELP WITH THE SUITCASES. BROKEN STAIRLIFE

The hotel is at the foot of the bridge over the Meruelo River. It is a real palace so it is beautiful. Very good rooms with a huge bathroom that could fit a bidet. Everything was perfect except for the reception. The person in charge did not even offer to help us with the suitcases, so we decided to eat and dine out to "punish" them for their lack of empathy with the pilgrims who arrived exhausted after 20 km.

Lovely place to stay

We stayed here after a very difficult day on the camino. The trip to Molinaseca is a tough one and when you arrive in town, seeing the picturesque river and quaint town, it is so amazing. The hotel was perfect for a night's stay. Our room had windows that opened up to the patio where people were enjoying the evening. There is a restaurant for breakfast and it is centrally located. The front desk basically closes down, so once you check in, it is self-serve and you let yourself in and out with a key.

Impossible to sleep

Hot. Asked for a fan and told they don’t have any. I live in Spain so not surprised by noise. But this very noisy: bars (not just the one that is part of the hostal) heard every plate as it was stacked . Street noise and light prohibited opening the window door for air. Not to mention no privacy as my first floor street side room allowed the bed to be seen from the street. I had the menu at the restaurant. Mediocre and poor service.
This is not close to typical for a Spanish hostal. Just a tourist hotel out for your money. After a difficult day on the Camino this was not what I expected. So getting up before dawn and leaving ASAP.

Very nice small hotel

Hotel very conveniently situated on the Camino as you enter the town. Very well appointed room, although ceiling slightly low for a tall person, very comfortable bed. Bar and restaurant excellent for meeting & socialising with Camino friends after a hard day's walk.

A good overnight stop on the Camino

The Hostal el Palacio in Molinaseca was very good. The location was excellent as it is right on the Camino de Santiago as one enters Molinaseca across a Roman bridge. The receptionist was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Both check-in and check-out were very easy. My bike was locked securely overnight.
The room was of a decent enough size and overlooked the river and bridge into the town. It had a sloping roof. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was exceptionally large. The shower was good. I had no complaints.
