Very good value for money

A pretty good experience being a humble hostel. Very good for what it is, sleep. And for the price it has being the cheapest in Merida when I was comparing we have no complaints. Highlight the cleanliness, the room was clean.

The horror hostel

That is the horror hostel, without exaggeration, flee from the place, my husband and I were there after a trip of many kilometers without resting, we went just to rest in passing, but we could not stay for the night, it turns out that apart from how strange it is that they attend to you in a living room of a house, they do not give you a card or anything like you are there and have paid, they do not even look at your ID, they only give you a paper to fill out more data than is requested in luxury places, also the man did not look you in the eye, he remained with his head down, when we went up the first thing we saw was quite a few spider webs accumulated on the lamp before entering the first entrance, which then you pass a long narrow hallway with a smell of pure humidity, without facilities or security cameras or anything, he sent us to the last room at the back where we had to go down some steps when we opened the door, we saw how bad the door handle is, it seems that they have forced it many times, we entered and saw a damp smell, the bathroom falling to pieces and the bathtub without curtains or anything, the floor tiles lifted, but we were exhausted so we decided to stay, it was noon and we took a shower as best we could, 0 hygiene, then we fell completely asleep and about three hours later my husband called me to eat a sandwich, we ate right there, in that small and strange room, then we wanted to go take a look at our car, which we opened the nightstand drawer where we left the room keys and the first entrance before taking a nap and it turns out that they were not there, surprisingly the keys had completely disappeared, we looked for them all over the room, under the mattress, bed, sheets and I even looked in my travel suitcase, something we knew we left inside the drawer, so as soon as we knew they were not going to appear, we took all our things, packed our bags and ran away from there without looking back, without telling the man that the keys were not there, that someone entered while we were sleeping and took them, so we said nothing because we only felt that the owner himself knew perfectly well that the keys were not there, because it is impossible for them to leave a room by themselves and even less such a small one and leaving them in a nightstand drawer, they did not take our cell phones or the bag with the money or anything, only the keys, which precisely those keys opened the main door to go out to the street, that is to say someone intended to lock us in for what? We assume for nothing good, everything that went through our minds is horrible, we immediately headed to the car and left, which of course being early the main door that leads to the street was still open, but who tells me that if we do not notice the disappearance of the keys and then at night we fall asleep and later they harm us? Well, it is just what we think of that moment of horror and all the horror that we would have lived if we had stayed that night there, really do not go to that place, because that is not normal, nothing there is, and less the disappearance of the keys, which without them if you fall asleep at night and then something happens you cannot open the main door because it would already be closed, I will never return nor will I even pass by it, besides the area is horrible, it is not safe really and it is better to be safe than sorry and stop further ahead in another place, a big city and pay a little more but have security above all.

Terrifying.

Get out of here!!! Don't come!!
We went yesterday, my partner and I. Upon entering the "reception" (it was clearly the living room of a house), we were asked to fill out a form with all our information (even the support number of the ID), we asked if this was in accordance with the data protection form, to which the gentleman said he had that form and knew nothing about it (having already provided personal information to booking), as it seemed he wanted extra information.
We arrived at the room, the room of horrors, because oh my goodness. The headboard of the bed was not anchored to the wall and fell down every now and then. The mattress creaked, and every time you moved, the springs made noise. The worst part was the bathroom. We arrived and the bricks were visible!!! We took a bath as best we could, since there was no gel or shampoo, only hand soap. We went to sleep and woke up early, but we were awakened because there were ants climbing up our legs!!! We got up scared and went to the bathroom, and there was a complete army of ants coming in through the poorly sealed joints of the bathtub.
There is only one light in the bathroom, above the sink, and it is a poorly placed bulb. The door of the room is poor quality and looks like a toy. You can hear everything from the other rooms, as the walls seem to be made of paper. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, so we had to innovate; if you don't want people to waste water, install a shower instead of a bathtub, and there was neither a screen nor a curtain...
Lack of hygiene, I don't know how they pass health inspections...
We were going to stay longer to sleep since we were tired from a long trip, but we left when we saw ants crawling up. Additionally, there were several cobwebs in the room and a corner that was a bit darker, indicating some dampness.
The area is unsafe; you can hear the cars from the road that runs alongside. The riverwalk smells like sewage, and during the hours we spent there, we felt scared. It was 10 PM, and there were people engaging in illegal activities by the river (drug dealing). Without a doubt, a neighborhood that is frightening.
It was the cheapest in the area that day, and now I understand why.
We felt scared, there was little hygiene, and we will not return; it is better to pay a little more and go to a place that is in good condition.
