The room was very clean and the staff very nice.
The only downside is to watch out for rooms on the top floor which have slanted roofs and can get quite hot even with the air conditioning.

Great breakfast and service

The breakfast and the person in charge Rossana very bad
The hotel is very central, the room is fine .a little bit of noise at night in the hallway ,the breakfast seems like it is in a cave, very hot ,when we went down there were no clean tables we asked the girl to clean one for us to sit down and she answered us in a very bad way that she is alone and cannot attend to everyone at once ,also the buffet was a little poor, the croissants were raw ,Rossana spent a lot of time talking with clients without attending to us who asked her for things .this is very ugly ,the breakfast cost us 17 euros per person and the buffet was poor ,

Lamentamos mucho que el desayuno y la atención de Rosana no hayan estado a la altura de sus expectativas. Rosana hace muchos años que trabaja en Petit Palace y es muy amable con los clientes. Sentimos que no lo haya percibido así. A veces el servicio se satura puntualmente y puede causar un estado de nerviosismo. Esto no refleja el servicio que pretendemos ofrecer y no es justificable su comportamiento.
Sentimos que encontrara el buffet escaso, los cruasanes crudos y la sala del desayuno, ubicada en la cava de ladrillo del edificio, con sensación de calor y poca comodidad. Como hotel boutique en un edificio histórico, trabajamos continuamente para mejorar servicios y experiencias.
Esperamos tener otra oportunidad y volver a recibirla en Petit Palace,

A Wonderful Stay in Central Madrid
My parents and I had a wonderful stay here at Petit Palace Arenal! The bathroom in our room was bright and spacious, and our room was able to sleep 4 people, something not always common in Spain - this could be great for families! The location is amazing, steps away from La Puerta del Sol and metro station stops. The hotel is within walking distance of many different attractions, like El Prado and La Reina Sofia art museums, as well as the royal palace. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly to us throughout our whole stay. Roxana (sp?) was so helpful to us at our breakfast at the hotel. A special shoutout to Ares as well who arranged a taxi to the airport for us on our way back home. I would stay here again! The location and kind staff can’t be beat! They made our last stop in Spain a great one.
