Good hotel would recommend

This is very much a business hotel in a business district. Saying that, there were a lot of families with children staying here.
We travelled as a couple.
The room was clean, lighting could have been brighter, air con was excellent
Pool is small, all on depth at 1 34m, so small children don't have a shallow end. Towels are provided at pool.
Not many sunbeds and umbrellas and when we stayed in July, sun takes a while to come round. To be honest, it was that hot, it didn't matter.
Bar prices are reasonable €9 for a large beer and a wine.
Staff at front desk are polite and really helpful.
Bus 53 takes you straight into Madrid centre.

The beds were really comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Staff were good - we didn't need to have much interaction with them though. breakfast was good although the same every day. We chose the hotel for proximity to the Athletico stadium but it was easy to jump on a bus into the city centre. There are a few restaurants nearby which are good. Would certainly recommend

I spent 200 pounds in 4 days in taxis as this is so badly connected and far from everything!

In the sticks of Madrid, even the sight impaired receptionist said "estamos mal conectados".. which means "we're badly vonnected"..
Takes almost 2 hours daily to get to the centre of Madrid by bus. We're just getting taxis everywhere.
The rooms are spacious but it is not worth it being so far from everywhere. 10 mins to the closest bus stop.

We would just like to clarify a few points for future guests.
We are not located on the outskirts of Madrid. The bus stop with direct connections to the city centre is only a 1-minute walk from the property, and the journey to the centre takes approximately 30 minutes by bus. By taxi, Madrid city centre can be reached in around 10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Staff was great, bar was great, the gym and pool were great. We could actually walk to a mall with restaurants and grocery store.

We had good impression after checking in on first day. Even the meal was good for the dinner on the same night. Then the next day, nightmare started. In the morning, ther was no power , no water. Therefore no shower for us. Until we left, no official explanation and apologie were given. The hotel management obviously was in breach of their contract duty. As customer, we should have certain compensation.
