Good choice
It's a good option, good price. Pretty noisy, very close to Puerta del Sol. People day and night in the area. Located in front of the Ham Museum. They have double glass the rooms that face the street, but there is noise. Otherwise right.

Good hostel, lousy rest
I am going to base my opinion on two aspects, on the one hand the hostel as such and on the other hand, where it is located, which logically influences the well-being of our stay.
The hostel is located on a pedestrian street, a few meters from Puerta del Sol, a street full of bars, right in front of the Ham Museum. Busy street at all hours of the day, there is no rest of people passing through it.
The hostel is in a building where everything is hostels, both the lower floor and the one above the hostel. A lot of hustle and bustle at all hours. The hostel is good, very clean, simple rooms but for a few days in Madrid it is fine. You can leave your luggage on the day of departure and pick it up later.
The rest, at least our experience in an outside room is unbearable. Even though it has a double-glazed window and blinds, you can hear everything from the street and that is screams, music, people talking until 5 and 6 in the morning. Then at 7, as happened to us, the noise of the beer trucks unloading. Impossible to rest. And this is something that I do believe that the Hostel management should discuss with the city council, because there should be a municipal noise ordinance and certain hours. What is not logical is that from 7 in the morning trucks come in to unload and throw the beer drums on the ground, and the noise they make unloading, nor the music at those hours of the morning.
I definitely, no matter how well located, would not return if I want to combine tourism with rest.

A LOT OF NOISE
We have stayed several nights and the truth is that it has been fatal with the amount of noise in the area at night. It is true that the rooms facing the street have a window/balcony with double glazing and blinds, but it is not enough. Until at least five in the morning there is a commotion in the street and then at seven the beer truck comes dumping the kegs. On the upper floor there is a Hostel, the last night there was a lot of commotion and at two in the morning I got up I went to the reception and no one came out to see if I could talk to someone in charge of the Hostel so that they would respect the rest of others . We have spent a few days of LECOSSSS. The room, cleanliness and attention have been good. Except the solution to the noise problems.

Nice rooms, even better staff
Stayed here twice on my recent visit and the rooms are charming. Right in the city center and walking distance to everything. The hotel staff was amazing. I unknowingly left 200 euros in my bed and checked out. Called and the money was waiting for me at the front desk. Thankful!

Clean and tidy room
We booked a separate room for two people with attached bathroom for 3 nights. The room was spacious with two single beds, table and a chair. The bathroom was quite small but we could manage. The location of the hostel was perfect for us. It was 2 mins from puerta de sol. We were given a room inside and not street side so had no issues with noise. The room was cleaned everyday. Just be aware in the month of October there is no cooling or heating facility available in the hostel. It was one night when we were uncomfortable and thought of air conditioner. Other two nights were fine. Would recommend it for its location and affordability.
