Simply exceptional, thank you!
I find myself writing another fabulous review for Marriott Son Anthem while still on resort. For the second year running the GM Jose Luis has delivered a master class in customer service and onsite experience. In total I have spent over a year of my adult life on this resort, from long weekends to three week vacations the time on site has added up over the last 20 years of visits. The resort for the last two years has been better than it has ever been, simply exceptional in every department. Jose has worked wonders with his team, focussing in on exceptional customer experience, and knowing that the small details matter. Over the years my wife and I have been lucky to experience Marriott across Asia, Europe and the USA, competition is fierce and Son Anthem is once again at the top. It is no accident that Jose has achieved this, under his leadership everyone at the resort strives for an exceptional customer experience. My personal dealings with Jose tell me that he does not look from the inside out, his focus seems to be on looking from the outside in, which puts guests at the forefront of how and what decisions are made. Guests are not a collective, they are instead a group of individual customers, and for that I thank Jose for his leadership, the team and many truly exceptional onsite individuals (Juan the newly promoted pool supervisor being one of them), that help make the resort so exceptional!! Thank you Jose Luis!!!

Never buy the properties they sell you at Son Antem. We bought them and we have fewer rights than by booking them through El Corte Inglés or Trip Advisor.
Every year we have the same problem; we request a location in the villas, which was not a problem when we booked previously, and now that we have bought them they never give us the one we request, whereas our relatives who have not bought and book through TripAdvisor or El Corte Inglés are always given them.
We give notice a year in advance and we keep calling to let them know which villa number we want; they even have it noted in the system, yet we arrive and they tell us they are sorry, that they are already occupied.
Total ineffectiveness and ineptitude, it is the sixth consecutive year that this has happened to us. Furthermore, we already switched to other villas because the ones we used to take were always reserved without any problem for other owners, who were owners but with a contact, for them there is indeed no problem reserving the villas.
Among other things, we have no other option but to post reviews since we have been doing everything possible to solve it and they do not pay any attention at all.
Among other things, it is just one more right that those who are not owners have over those who are, but it is the one that affects us the most.
In short, do not become owners.

So-So Experience.
Hit and Miss experience. Check-in with Juan Ignacio was excellent. Dinning the first 2 days in the only restaurant on property was fine. Tried to have lunch at the property next door- Hacienda Son Antem Golf Resort at Es Camp, when asked if we had a reservation and if we were guests at the hotel, we said no and the staff made a sour-puss face as if he was disgusted by our presence. I guess our presence was not acceptable for them-so beware Marriott travelers don't attempt to even step on their property. Then we tried La Terrasa at the Marriott, on a Thursday and was not acknowledge by staff after waiting for over 15 mn. AND what made the entire experience even worse was the concierge at the desk when he saw me leaving and obviously quite upset didn't even ask what the issues was. He said hello, and I replied, it's not been a good day today, the service here is terrible. He then said I didn't ask you how your day was, I just said hello." He continued to say that I was a terrible person and had issues with my attitude! Excuse me? Isn't he in the hospitality industry, isn't he supposed to diffuse an issue? Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this property EVER!
I do have to add that for my husband he enjoyed the golf. The West course was better than the East. No wet towel for your clubs. You do get a cooler and an ice pack- no ice
Area is quiet- lots of chickens and rooster
Location out in the middle of the country, need a rental car to get around.
Room: 2 bd Villa- not ADA compliant. Only bathrooms are on 2nd floor. Could have easily had space for a half bath on ground floor.
Clean.
Atmosphere: again very quiet
I do have to add that for my husband he enjoyed the golf. The West course was better than the East. No wet towel for your clubs. You do get a cooler and an ice pack- no ice

Simply amazing, Jose the new GM has used a Time Machine to make this resort just as special, professional and amazing as it was when opened over twenty years ago (and I have been every year since it opened bar a Covid year).

A very pleasant stay.
An excellent location to explore the island with a car. Our two-bedroom villa was well-appointed and very clean with an immaculate garden. Daily house-keeping service, which we didn’t expect, was a bonus. As non-golfers, we were pleased that there were good walking paths around the golf courses.
All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Worth checking your account at the end as we found two errors which the helpful receptionist, Anna, quickly corrected.
We would definitely stay again.
