A Coruña and the hotel are worth repeating.
Hotel with an excellent location. Recently renovated, so the room and common areas were phenomenal and very clean. Staff really lovely and kind!! especially the young lady. Marta at the front desk. Without a doubt, I will repeat the hotel and recommend it. Thank you

Disappointing Melia in La Coruna.
Hotel practically devoid of parking. Despite the advance booking, no parking space was provided in the private parking lot or even in the partner parking lot, forcing the customer into a prolonged and expensive search. The room is equipped with a small, uncomfortable French bed and lacks a capsule coffee machine. Unwelcoming staff. The Melia tradition was not upheld in this case.

Ci dispiace che, in questa occasione, alcuni aspetti non abbiano soddisfatto le Sue aspettative e che l’impressione generale non sia stata all’altezza dell’esperienza che desideriamo offrire ai nostri ospiti.
Per quanto riguarda il parcheggio, ci dispiace per le difficoltà riscontrate. Sia il nostro parcheggio sia i posti disponibili tramite la struttura convenzionata dispongono di una capacità limitata rispetto al numero di camere. Pertanto, le richieste effettuate in anticipo sono sempre soggette a disponibilità e non comportano la garanzia di un posto riservato.
Ci dispiace inoltre che le caratteristiche del letto non siano risultate confortevoli durante il Suo soggiorno. Per quanto riguarda la macchina da caffè a capsule, questo servizio è attualmente incluso in alcune categorie di camere superiori e suite. Prendiamo inoltre in seria considerazione la Sua percezione dell’accoglienza ricevuta, poiché la cordialità e la disponibilità del nostro team rappresentano una parte essenziale dell’ospitalità che desideriamo offrire.
La ringraziamo sinceramente per le Sue osservazioni e per il tempo dedicato a condividerle con noi. Ci auguriamo che, in occasione di una futura visita ad A Coruña, avremo l’opportunità di offrirLe un’esperienza molto più soddisfacente.

Central location with a view
I can only write this review with mixed feelings, as the check-in was extremely difficult. We arrived around 6:30 PM, after a very long 7-hour drive. There were no spaces left in the hotel's own underground garage; the ones that were free were already taken, according to the reception. My inquiries via email months in advance were also answered to the effect that I unfortunately could not reserve a parking space, and if there were no parking spaces available, one would have to park in the surrounding area. That was indeed the case - the space in the municipal parking garage that was recommended to us by the reception is very tight for a large car; you need nerves of steel to park. You can, of course, unpack at the hotel beforehand if you can find the driveway and leave your suitcases there, in order to then take the car to the garage yourself and walk back to the hotel along the promenade in the heat. That was not very pleasant, even if it is only perhaps a 5-minute walk in total. A valet parking service would make it extremely easier for guests, even if it came with additional costs. The drive to the hotel by car was also very adventurous—extremely heavy traffic and a chaotic city, not easy to drive in. Thus, the first impression is not very good, and unfortunately that also dampens our entire mood extremely. The room was as expected on the upper floor with a very nice view and also very nicely furnished. The cleanliness in the room was unfortunately only mediocre regarding the floor, the balcony, and the windows, but the bed was good and also fresh. The air conditioning is quiet and does its job. The free Wi-Fi was really great, even up here under the roof. Breakfast is available from 7-11 and the restaurant is open in the evening from 7:30 PM to 11 PM.

Wir entschuldigen uns für die dadurch entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten.

Very disappointing.
Disappointing; hotel located in a magnificent spot, with professional and attentive staff, but it suffers from something very necessary, which is the ability to provide rest to the people who trust in them, especially considering it is a hotel that is supposed to have a certain prestige.
We booked a Premium Room with sea views and breakfast, with two beds for 5 nights; I spent the first night practically awake because the springs didn't let me rest, the mattress sagged, and the springs were unbearable.
We mentioned it at the front desk in the morning, and the solution was to put on a 2 cm foam mattress topper that would relieve my discomfort. Two days later, my wife told me that she had spent the night without sleeping; we mentioned it again, and now the solution was to put on another mattress topper, but larger, which covered both beds, turning it into a cot.
Regarding other considerations, I must say that the room has fantastic views, but with such heat that it is impossible to stay if the air conditioning is not running continuously; I would highlight that the breakfast is served by very friendly and competent professionals, but from my point of view, the orange juice is not real, the Santiago cake, an emblem of that region, is of low quality, and the potato omelet seemed like it was from a supermarket—in short, improvable for a hotel of these characteristics.
We are older people and we avoid confrontations as much as possible, but when going to pay at the front desk, they asked us about our level of satisfaction, and we commented on what happened regarding the room; they told us that customer service would call us, and to date, they have not shown any signs of life, confirming our opinion of how little they actually care about the satisfaction of their customers.

Lack of seriousness.
I made a reservation for the night of July 10 and had requested a parking space by email; they tell me that the reservation must be made through a link that, by the way, DOES NOT WORK, and when I arrive, they tell me that there are no parking spaces available and that I should park in a farther lot. It is unfortunate that a hotel of the category of Meliá, with a reservation made in advance, leaves me without the requested parking space because their links do not work.

Nuestro parking cuenta con un número limitado de plazas, por lo que su disponibilidad está siempre sujeta a la capacidad existente y, lamentablemente, no siempre podemos garantizar este servicio a todos nuestros huéspedes. Asimismo, lamentamos que tuviera dificultades con el enlace habilitado para realizar la reserva, ya que entendemos la frustración que esta situación pudo ocasionarle.
Como alternativa, el hotel dispone de un acuerdo con un aparcamiento cercano que ofrece una tarifa especial para nuestros clientes cuando nuestro parking se encuentra completo.
