Closeby Al Hambra, beautiful view, quiet hotel.
Very good hotel in Granada, closeby Al Hambra. Overall, very good experience.
Location is great for Al Hambra visitors. You can easily come to the hotel by public transportation. Hotel is situated in the heart of nature, very closeby Al Hambra. Al Hambra is opened 08.30 am, you can reach the main entrance about 2-3 minutes by walking. As for Granada downtown, it is not away, 15 minutes walking distance. Issue is downhill is easy, but uphill needs physcial condition. Although neighborhood seems to be safe, it is secluded in the night. Taking taxi or public transportation should be preferred.
Check in was easy and quick. We're really appreciated check in lady's warm hospitality.
Rooms are very good; warm (for winter), spacious (both room and bathroom size) and clean! Rooms offer tea&coffee setups, kettle, minibar. What we don't like is double bed is made up with two twin beds.
Hotel offers swimming pool for summer. We stay in November timeframe so that it is closed.
As a result, we enjoyed staying in this hotel. If you come to Granada just for Al Hambra visit, you do not need to check elsewhere, just book here! Otherwise, also check hotels at Granada downtown.

Bulk handling
The hotel lives from its convenient location to the Alhambra. It is an older, clairvoyant concrete structure. The lady at the reception received us very friendly and gave us tips. Since the hotel had no free parking, we parked on the P2 of the Alhambra at the same 24 h rate (about 23 €). The room size was fine for one night. The bathroom is a bit small. It would make more sense to replace the old bathtub with a shower. Asian tour groups also stay there. Accordingly, it was crowded in the dining room, which resembles a company cafeteria. The breakfast selection was extensive but not outstanding. For one night the hotel was ok, but I don't want to spend longer there.

Hotel is in a great location
We had a small car so were able to park under the hotel (be aware paking is limited and not really suitable for bigger vehicles).
Tea/coffee in rooms

The Good and Bad of Riviera Travel Tours
Went on the Classical Tour of Spain, .Flew into Malaga, Taken to Mijas & Mihas Pueblo.
First hotel - Ilunion Hacienda del Sol 4*, Mihas. Good Hotel worthy of its rating.
On to Ronda to see the Roma Bridge again great. Onto Seville, easy walks into the city and interesting tours arranged by Riviera, Hotel Don Paco 3* Superior, small room directly over the hotel entance. Lots of noise from traffic, early morning 3 - 4am deliveries to nearby supermarket, and on top of that 20 meters across the road, a childrens play area, Friday and Saturday nights the shouting screaming etc went on until 2am - ish. From Seville onwards to Cordoba, for a pit stop and looking around. Then onto Granada. The Hotel Alixares 4* Plus - NOT IN THIS LIFE! Maybe 2 stars not more. This was supposed to be a luxury hotel, We booked a room with a double bed, and view, we got 2 single beds and a view of a car park, again directly over the hotel entrance, very noisy. The room, first impressions, small, dark, large pillar in the corner of the room, making that area unuseable except for somewhere to keep footware. The plastic laminate flooring, outside the bathroom, split and lifting, the bathroom, too small to swing a cat, you needed to go in and walk around the door, two steps to be able to use the loo. Safe - not a modern code operated item an old fashioned key job, no instructions for use, also buried in the wardrobe an old fridge, with brown marks on the plastic internal surface that showed it was overheating. tHE tv Remote fell in two when I picked it up! Drink making facilities included using cheap plastic cups and wooden stirrers. But you had to be a fan of decaff coffee and tea.
Overall this was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The hotel staff on reception were unconcerned when we complained about the room, a shrug of the shoulders. Again the hotel had the worse standard of food available for breakfast, diluted orange juice that ran out on both mornings, coffee that looked and tasted like brown water. Thesupposed bacon looked like it was cut with a razor blade, and left to float in oil. We ate outside of the hotel for our own satisfaction.
Otherwise Riviera arrang an interesting tour, we went to see a lot of Spains southern architecture, and royal palaces, vitited the bullring anf Flamenco museum.
One recommendation is that the Tour Managers get themselves some audio communication devices, similar to the systems the local guides were using, to enable all members of the group to hear what they are saying.
Tour managers were very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout.
Following this experience I do not think that I will travel with Riviera again, I presume that Riviera have an inspection system for their hotels, to ensure they are worthy of their ratings, and that Riviera customers expecting luxury accomodation get it. In both cases with these two hotels, the system has misfired badly.

Dear Mr. Phil, we are very sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We always try to provide the best available rooms to our guests. The problem arises when it's the weekend and we have much higher occupancy, which means we have to make the rooms a little less attractive.
You could have told us you didn't like the room, and we would have offered you a change.
First of all, double beds are subject to hotel availability. If we don't have one at the time, you could have requested one for us the next day.
All deposit boxes have instructions on the front of the box and a brief summary inside the box.
Our breakfast is one of the hotel's most highly valued items; it offers a wide variety of products, all freshly prepared and to very high standards.
Riviera employees visit the hotels several times a year, review the standards, and hold weekly meetings, looking into any problems guests may have had and offering them the best possible alternative.

Excellent location to visit the Alhambra only a few minutes walk, hotel good but our aircon wasn’t working, they were very helpful and offered to change our room but it was to a smaller room
