Peaceful, in its way
Breakfast is handled by the on-site café, "Slow" by name and, one soon learns, by conviction: since it's essentially the only breakfast to be had in the surroundings, guests who ordered breakfast boxes queue for them each morning, and those arriving at ration distribution time must summon extra patience for a croissant, if one has already been delivered. All this under the indifferent gaze of staff who miss no opportunity to convey that you are unwelcome and disturbing their meditation. Anyway, there is no close by place for you to grab a breakfast, save for the supermarket.
And then the beds: across two apartments we sampled seven mattresses, five perfumed with oxidised urine that reveals itself only once you've lain down and the clouds of room fragrance have dissipated. The other two were damaged causing back pain. This left us free, after management's warm, discourteous and thoroughly unkept promises, to alternate each night between the smell of piss and the ache of springs. We certainly require a vacation after this one.
The town is charmingly sleepy, with its one shop: a supermarket reliably out of some essential or other. Rather an urbanisation of summer houses, it is a tranquil spot for those wishing to truly get away from it all, away from most things. A bus line (430) passing through the town survives only on Google Maps. Half a dozen expat restaurants, some closing for two or three days and all required to shut by 9:30 on municipal orders, offer you overpriced food. The only available café specialises in telling you what is no longer available. Without a rented car you'll be hiking a windswept kilometre uphill to the motorway to catch a bus. Regard it as cardio if you wish. Walking back downhill against the wind and the small bent palm trees is no lesser workout. After a stiff walk, the omnipresent wind turbines will soon lull you with their gracious sway.
The wind is a genuine feature: nature's air-conditioning, which some would call a stiff breeze and others a storm, dropping 30°C to a cosy-feeling 23°C and entirely mosquito-free. Complimentary exfoliation is thrown in on the walk to the beach, where the sand polishes your skin smooth and you're well advised to wear glasses so it doesn't do the same to your eyes. The bays are lovely: clear water, plenty of fish, a real Mecca for divers, reachable past the caravans parked across everything and the litter of various composition distributed evenly over the dunes.
For the history-minded, the panorama comes with heritage: a Franco-era leprosy colony built to isolate the afflicted safely out of sight, presided over by the vast carcass of an abhorrent Francoist megalomaniac church. The whole complex was never quite finished, then repurposed into barracks decorated with bullet-impact holes and ultra-patriotic murals, over-sprayed by the leftist graffiti artists of a later age. The whole nation's twentieth century, thoughtfully arranged on one hillside for your contemplation.
Peaceful, in its way. You need only survive the night.

This place was amazing
Breakfast boxes are great quality and saving the sandwich for lunch helped so much. Two minute walking distance to the beach with a shop and restaurants. I recommend the restaurant called ( something like) Bolognese. It looks out onto the beach and you just try the bolognese lasagna and the crispy sea food. Again really friendly staff and homely environment.
The kids club it great checks and opposite is a trendy tranquil bar. I tried yoga and Pilates which was fun and informative and above all extremely tranquil. From my balcony and bathroom window I could watch the class. I highly recommend. Really friendly teachers with zero pressure. The gym was also great. Quiet with no music and all the exercise equipment you need. I felt like I had really relaxed but also moved my body.
Siam Mall and Santa Cruz at about 30 minutes away by car. You must go!!
This place is worth every penny!!

The most peaceful place in Tenerife
I stayed in the one bedroom apartment with ground floor location and just by the side of the main pool.
As the plus, I highlingt the quietness and cleaniness of this place. Also, I slept with the wondow open and there were no signs of mosquitos so its pretty nice because its insect-free.
Animation is restricted to two hours, some yoga/strexh in themorning and a little show from 19h to 20h. Perfect for rest!
As minuses, a dining table in the apartment is lacking ( one has to eat in the terrace) and a semi transparent curtain at the bedroom window would also be appreciated ( there is only a blackout curtain).
