Terrible hotel, don’t waste your money.
I would not recommend Hotel Terramar. Our 7-night stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet our expectations.
For the first two days, there was no running water, meaning we couldn’t shower properly or use basic facilities. We reported the issue, but the response from the hotel was poor.
The staff were unhelpful, came across as rude, and rarely smiled or made any effort to assist us or show any concern about the problems we experienced.
The rooms were very old and in need of refurbishment. There was only one usable plug socket in the room, and it was already being used for the TV, making it very inconvenient to charge our phones or other devices.
Another disappointment was that the room did not include air conditioning. If you wanted to use it, you had to pay an extra charge, which we felt should have been made much clearer before booking.
Overall, the combination of the lack of running water, outdated rooms, limited plug sockets, extra charges for air conditioning, and poor customer service meant that our holiday was far below the standard we expected. I hope the hotel addresses these issues so future guests have a better experience.

Do not recommend!
The single worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Appalling food, appalling rooms - no plug sockets, no fan or air con, falling apart and leaking bathroom, poor selection of all-inclusive drinks, cocktail menu blue green or red! Staff indifferent.
Would not recommend, it’s a shameful use of people’s hard-earned money!
ONLY Star point - location to the fabulous beach!

I wouldn't stay here again
Unfortunately, I can't recommend Hotel Terramar.
We were unlucky enough to visit during the heatwave, and staying in a hotel without air conditioning made it incredibly uncomfortable. There are fans available to buy from the shop opposite, but our room had one plug socket to use, so sleeping was extremely difficult.
The hotel itself is very basic, which is absolutely fine if you're travelling on a budget. The rooms were clean, and we appreciated that our towels were changed every day, even though we hadn't requested it. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The biggest disappointment was the food. We knew not to expect gourmet dining from a budget hotel, but the quality was extremely poor. The menu was repetitive, and seeing the same fish dish reappear day after day looking increasingly worse for wear wasn't very appetising.
The hotel's biggest strength is its location. It's only a two-minute walk from the beautiful beach in Calella, where you can relax on the sand or hire sun loungers and parasols for a very reasonable price. There are plenty of beach bars serving food and drinks, and being able to sip a Strawberry Daiquiri on the beach was definitely one of the highlights of the holiday!
Personally, I wouldn't stay here again. If it were up to me, I'd be tempted to bulldoze the place and start again! That said, plenty of other guests seemed perfectly happy, so it clearly suits some people. Not every hotel is for everyone, and this one simply wasn't for us.
Calella itself, however, is absolutely beautiful, and we'd happily return—just to a different hotel.

Never again
Would not go back!!!
We went for a week. We read the reviews but wanted to give them a chance but wish we hadn’t.
When we arrived we booked a Standard room and assumed it would have a/c but it didn’t the room was stifling so on the second day we had to pay to upgrade
The new rooms ac didn’t work so we reported it when it started working it was had no speed and was just blowing warm air which would only work for a few minutes and then stop working and then would come on for few more minutes
Day 3 we woke up to no water and no working toilets
The water and toilets didn’t work for a day and a half
The hotel could not tell us when the water was going to work and they would only provide single glasses of water despite been all inclusive
The restaurant had a really small assortment of food - nothing for kids nothing was labelled no allergy info
The restaurant constantly ran out of food and drinks and cutlery and plates
The snack bar had almost no food
The bar regularly ran out of vodka, rum and cocktail mixtures
The bar would only allow people to have one drink at a time, if you were sat in a group everyone had to go up to the bar to get drinks
You could not go inside if you were wet this included using the toilets, children/babies needing the toilet were made to leave the hotel to get dry before they could use the toilets
No entertainment day or night not even music around the pool

The food was horrible, room had no air con and only 1 plug socket available that was in the bathroom! Sink was cracked and tiles broken in bathroom. The hotel was quiet yet still put us in a room with the worst view and a loud generator thing in front of the balcony. The daytime bar man was so miserable. The rest of the staff were pretty friendly and it was pretty clean but I still definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.
