Even better after recent upgrade, fantastic restaurant.

I can’t believe that it was nine years ago that I last stayed at this hotel and my wife and I loved it back then. I have just stayed for five nights from 17th September and was really impressed with the revamped rooms, which I’m told were done 12 months ago. The rooms are now very comfortable and stylish, with very nice bathrooms, modern fittings and a great television.
The main hotel reception and restaurant is closed most of the day but is open for lunch service and sometimes for breakfast, if customers request it.
Part of the attraction of visiting this area is the great food, particularly at restaurants serving the lunchtime menu del dia. My friend lives in Benifallet so we tried a few restaurants but the best, by some margin, was Hotel Pepo.
The lunchtime menu del dia was extensive and every one of the three courses with simply delicious and at 18€, including wine, great value. Joanna and the rest of the restaurant staff were very friendly and spoke English well, which made things easy. The Saturday menu was more expensive but the five course taster menu was stunning.
So all in all, Hotel Pepo is a great place to stay and in our opinion, the best place to eat.
The rooms would benefit from some basic tea and coffee making facilities.

EXTRAORDINARY!!! TO REPEAT

The hotel is very nice, comfortable, clean, quiet and also very beautiful. 100% recommended if you are in the area, but the best of all is the staff, always happy, friendly and with a smile.
The food in the restaurant is top-notch, superior, I advise having breakfast in the same hotel/restaurant, we will surely return, thank you very much to all your staff!!!

Gets better with age

I first stayed at Pepo's over 20 years ago. Some things remain constant, rooms are basic but absolutely spotless, cleaned daily and the water is piping hot. I do wish they had a kettle and coffee, they never have but hey ho! The restaurant just's gets better, the ambience, impeccable service and they have both a la carte menu's and a fantastic choice on the menu del dia. A 2 star hotel and 5 star restaurant, booking the restaurant is essential on a weekend.

Lunch date

Great selection to choose from, each course well presented and tasty. 4 courses within the menu de dia, perfect portions.
Excellent house wine, good service, and perfect seating arrangements with partitions for pandemic without feeling enclosed. Really enjoyed our lunch.

Pleasantly Surprised

Hotel Pepo is located in Benifallet, which is a small friendly village, central to a lot of activities such as "Cova Meravelles" (Caves) and close to the river Ebro and Miravet. There is no swimming pool but the local village pool is located nearby that you can use. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and are very comfortable with air-con and ensuite with showers. The staff are very friendly and some speak English.
