Great choice for families with young children to teenagers
Our first visit to the Magic Rock Gardens and we wasn’t disappointed, Jet2 certainly have this place nailed for the family, we chose the all inclusive board basis and it gave us all we needed onsite. You’ll receive a warm welcome in this Adrian themed hotel, it’s very much like checking into a Disney style hotel with a cave like entrance complete with statues of elephants, lions, monkeys and tigers etc. arched games and a VR room for the older kids. Various bars to choose from throughout the day including a roof top chill out bar and solarium on the 12th floor offering views over Benidorm and lavante beach. The rooms a large, our had two king size beds, table and chairs, large wardrobe and a full bathroom including a rain shower over bath. You’ll have plenty of choice in the restaurant three times a day plus the all day snack bar too. (Remember it’s a 3 star not al la carte). The hotel is located on a hill but it’s not too steep, 500 yards from the beach next to Burger King and McDonalds and the start of the promenade. Overall this hotel was a great choice for me and my 13yr old daughter, she loved the pool area with the slides, bubble pool and hydro beds. The swim up bar was a favourite of mine. All the staff are so friendly and ready to assist at any time. A great customer experience thank you…

We will be back!
Great hotel spotless cleaners never stop
The turns on a night are great from the kids disco to the Micheal Jackson act were fantastic, negatives no balcony, having to wait for pool to open and some of the food was a bit dicky

Hammocks, child/adult
Generally correct. The entertainment was very good. Buffet was good, correct, with no lines or stress, variety.
The negative aspect is that there are many "VIP" hammocks (one day I counted 40) that are reserved and go unused all day long.
Another issue, we were with a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old; we paid for the 17-year-old as an adult, and he was given an adult wristband (which means he can consume alcohol?), he is considered an adult for payment but cannot be with the 15-year-old in the gym? (they were not allowed to enter). Something does not add up for me. I believe he should pay as a child and have a child wristband. Why if he decides to order a mixed drink...., it’s bad because, in theory, alcohol should not be served to minors.
Another issue, activities that offer prizes, bingo for example, the only prizes are champagne and wine, really?, and what about those of us who do not drink? And if a child wins, as happened, is the prize a bottle?

Towers block the sun but beach is close
Bit of a late review but nothing would have changed….
Check in was a shamble and such a long queue, they don’t explain the cup token process either - so make sure you get a cup otherwise you are stuffed at the snack bar for drinks!!
Staff were overal nice and polite.
Rooms were cleaned but not swept regularly so just be mindful if you come back from the beach… the sand will stay with you.
Entertainment during the day … I didn’t see any.
Entertainment in the evening is a kids disco followed by a show, this was really good!! From parrots, to signers I couldn’t fault it.
Food is what you would expect, it does recycle round and they do reuse left overs to make it look like something new but I think most places do that. Lots of fruit and veg which is always good
Drinks were also good - especially wine on tap that you can help yourself to.
So it’s an aqua park hotel right …. Which has limited hours for the slides and jacuzzi?!? They literally shut the area so kids can’t use it. Makes no sense at all.
But the biggest issue as to why I wouldn’t return … the huge tower blocks that aren’t in the picture mean you have very very limited sun at the hotel which resulted in the water being bloody freezing!!
The beach is at the bottom of the hill, it’s a really steep path and I did it with a pram but just considered it a workout each time. The beach is lovely and lots of crabs to be found by the rocks! The beach shops are also really well priced,

One and done
We booked this hotel as it was part of the magic chain. Having stayed at Magic Natura we thought we would get a similar experience for drinks and food.
Checkin was easy as our room was ready which was great. The only annoying thing was Spanish people coming up and interrupting and this being allowed. It just doesn’t create a professional approach.
The room and decor was an interesting choice. The room was clean the decor makes them not look as nice. The lack of a balcony wasn’t so great. They left a note saying they are bigger rooms because of this but I think the balconies would have been better. The beds were a bit hard. Room had everything needed and as we were ultra all inclusive the fridge was refilled everyday. Whilst there is a kettle bring your own coffee and tea as it isn’t good and there is also no milk pods.
Food - whilst there was a lot of food most days were repetitive and it definitely catered more to the Europeans. Meat wasn’t always cooked properly which is something I don’t like. We could always get something to eat but it wasn’t the best.
Drinks - whilst there was a large range of drinks it was disappointing to see that the cocktails were all made with syrup. At magic natura these were proper made cocktails and we upgraded thinking this would be the same. The free pour beer, wine and cider was a nice touch in the snack bar and the restaurants at meal times. You could also get soft drinks and juices everywhere.
Pool - the pool was okay probably a bit small in size for the resort. The beds aren’t open until 10am at the bottom and 11am at the slides. People did reserve beds and never use them which was a shame. Sun was around 11-4pm unless you moved beds because of the huge building in front of the hotel.
Death bank was interesting to get up and down but we managed and I’m unfit.
Overall the stay was okay however I wouldn’t return as it wasn’t what I expected.
