Barcelona in April
We stayed at Suite A Barcelona for a family holiday and had a really pleasant experience overall.
As a family of four travelling with a wheelchair user, the accessibility was one of the main reasons we chose this apartment, and it did not disappoint. The lift was perfect for our needs, and the location made getting around Barcelona very easy. We travelled from the airport by metro and used the metro network throughout our stay, as well as walking to many places. Everything felt accessible and convenient, which made a huge difference to us.
The SATFV team met us on arrival and were very helpful throughout our stay. The couple at reception were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile and happy to help with any questions. Their kindness really added a personal touch and made us feel at home.
The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for our family. There were also several good mini markets nearby, which was great for picking up groceries, drinks and other essentials without having to go far.
The only negative was that the washing machine wasn't working when we arrived. For a family staying several days, this was a bit inconvenient and is something that should have been checked before guests checked in.
That said, this was a relatively minor issue compared to all the positives. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Suite A Barcelona to other families, especially anyone travelling with a wheelchair user. The combination of accessibility, location and genuinely friendly service made it a great base for our trip to Barcelona.

Old gothic run down apartment & dated furnitures
Do more research & check out the rooms before you make the booking. The owner charges the same price for 2 different apartments but they are different in room sizes. The owner did not put 2 different photographs in the booking websites & it is misleading. My husband booked this apartment because he saw the room is big with full height gothic glass windows & bath tub. In fact they advertised for 2 units of apartment with the same photographs of the big unit.
However upon our arrival, we were led to a smaller apartment. We felt cheated but too late to do anything as we had paid for it. It is an apartment so do not expect daily housekeeping or room cleaning services. They provide only towels, toilet papers, 2 very small bottles of shower gel & shampoo & some basic kitchen amenities like dishwashing detergent, forks, spoons, washing sponge & disposable garbage bags throughout your stay regardless how long. As we stayed for 6 days, hence we had to buy our own shower & shampoo bottles to replenish. We also bought our own bottled drinking water. The housekeeping will only start after you check out.
Please beware of the check in timing which is strictly 12 noon & check out time is 11am. There is no reception as it is an apartment building. So we waited for the agent to come at 12 noon to pass us the door access keys & cards. The housekeeper was cleaning the room & we only could occupy it after 3pm. Imagine you have few luggage & arrived in Barcelona at early morning & cannot check in, this can be an issue. As we had a trade fair to visit hence we left our luggage inside the apartment while the housekeeper continued to clean the place.
Fortunately there is a lift as we had 3 luggage but is mechanical. We need to open the lift doors & close them before it can operate.
The lighting was dim & hardly see things clearly, I felt dusty personally maybe due to the furniture & displays. The door handles are not functioning well also. There are no usb points. Luckily we brought all our international adapters & usb chargers. The pillows were provided were foamy type & not feathers so at least we did have a better sleep.
The only good point of this place is the location which is walking distance to the shopping areas & luxury brands. There are many eating places like bakeries, cafes & restaurants nearby so we were not worried about food. There are also 24 hours supermarkets nearby. It is a walkable place so we can walk beside metro & taxi. Taking taxi at this place is also very convenient. Metro is within 7-10 mins walking distance. It is a quiet area & it is quite safe neighborhood.
If we have known of a second smaller unit & no daily housekeeping, we would have chosen a decent hotel instead of this apartment.

Vile people running the place
Do not give this disgusting, awful, company money. They may have a lovely place but it’s utterly disgusting what they stand for. I have been in a devastating accident and cannot travel, I requested a date change due to my ongoing physio & treatment (not even for the booking to be cancelled) as it was 2 days out of my cancellation conditions.
The hotel have point blank refused. Informing me “it’s not our fault” Where has common human decency gone? I have sent my medical reports, pictures of my injuries and been told there is nothing they can do.
It’s disgusting in this day being met by such vile people but what goes around will definitely come right round again.
They are charging me the full cost of the holiday without even an option to change the dates for when I can fly again.
Please, please stay somewhere else! There are hundreds of beautiful places in Barcelona. In a time when we should be showing flexibility, love & appreciation for what we have this place has learnt nothing! Thank you to Booking.com though for calling the owner numerous times to plead with them to make an exception this time to no success.

Definitely, have no idea of the power of social media either.

Beautiful luxury apartment
We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment and couldn’t have been happier. It actually exceeded our expectations. It looks exactly as it does in the pictures only the apartment is actually bigger than we expected. The area is perfect - just a few blocks from La Pedrera - and is a beautiful street. Aleix was a pleasure to deal with and and it was a wonderful way to enjoy our week in beautiful Barcelona!

Nice room, but check carefully what you get
The room is very nicely located, however the pictures are deceiving in my opinion. The booking.com does show photo's of 2 separate rooms which is not clear. The price would have been acceptable for the photo's shown. However the room we got was much smaller and without the sitting area which was why I chose the room.
