Very good location and perfect for a stay in Barcelona

This is already our third or fourth stay at the Hotel Colonial in Barcelona and, once again, we are leaving very satisfied. It is a hotel that we particularly appreciate for its excellent location, near the port, the Gothic Quarter, and many of the city's must-see sites, which makes it very easy to discover or rediscover Barcelona on foot. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, the bedding is good, and the whole place offers a perfectly decent level of service for the price charged in this part of Barcelona. The building also has a certain historical charm since it occupies an edifice dating from 1876, while offering modern amenities. It may not be the most spectacular hotel in Barcelona, but precisely for that reason, it is a safe bet: well-located, clean, comfortable, and with a price-quality ratio that remains attractive for the area. An address that we therefore continue to favor during our stays in Barcelona and where we will most certainly return.

Great hotel at a spot on location

Brilliant hotel which is perfectly situated for a visit to Barcelona! Always clean and tidy and very friendly staff. We did not try the breakfast during our staff but I’m sure it would have been excellent and it was not too expensive at €16 person. Also very very located near the Metro and bus routes. Highly recommended.

Staff were great to deal with, found the bed hard and pillows were just okay! Allot of street noise from the room we were in and as well construction near the hotel was heard early in the mornings.

This hotel was perfect for our trip to Barcelona. The staff were amazingly helpful and professional; the room and lobby were very clean and the breakfast buffet was great. We would stay here again. 5 stars for sure.

This hotel has a fantastic location - just 100 meters walk to the Gothic Quarter and located on a main street with easy bus and taxi access. We never waited more than 1 minute for a taxi in the August heat.
Breakfast was very good with a nice variety, though the same options every day.
The rooms were ice cold, excellent blackout curtains and friendly staff. Great water pressure and hot water availability. We never mastered keeping the bathroom floor dry during a shower, but that's our only small comment.
