Súper agradable!
Servicio fantástico, todo muy limpio y cómodo. Un lugar para relajarse con un precio muy económico. Comida también muy buena. Desayuno riquísimo. Recomendado para descansar. Lo mejor el personal súper amable.

Blatant robbery: beware.
Any review of this place is completely coloured by the appalling behaviour of the management.
I had paid for the room via Paypal with Booking.com at the point of making the reservation however on the morning of our departure a manager named Fabiola insisted that I pay by bank card. At that moment she was so insistent and unreasonable and because my evidence of payment on the original booking confirmation was in my email account and my tablet was in the suitcase, I conceded. We couldn't delay to deal with her ineptitude/possible lack of training or maybe understanding of the Booking.com relationship with Paypal: we had a deadline to reach the airport!
I assumed - wrongly it seems- that the refund of my double payment would be easily resolved. Once able to copy the evidence of duplicated payment, I sent it by email to the Hostal and requested a refund. That was during December 2017, prior to Christmas. It has taken until now, Easter 2018 for Booking.com ultimately to send my refund because management at the Hostal have cleverly avoided all attempts by myself, a spanish friend able to converse with the staff by phone and also Booking.com Customer Service, to request the refund. I even have a message from the Hostal asking for my bank details in order that they could make the refund: it was never forthcoming.
I now know from Booking.com that this is a frequent occurrence -might one say 'ploy'? that properties manage to charge twice. So travellers should be advised to be vigilant and unfortunately it seems we shall need to carry hard copy of payment in future! Beware.

A very Spanish experience.
This hostal is a lively place for a short stay.You can eat or drink outside under a shelter surrounded by plants and trees. or inside at the typical bar and restaurant where we had good dinners twice. at very reasonable prices. Locals were there as well as visitors.
The rooms were quaint and very Spanish with beams and dark furniture but the views over the garden and countryside were lovely. Everything was clean.
The small town is about a mile and a half away but is unspoilt by over-tourism and worth an evening visit. We would go again.

a typical Spanish inn
I was rather disappointed with the room and bathroom- the paintwork could be refreshed and the free toiletries improved.
However the restaurant service was excellent and Martha worked very hard to please us despite her little knowledge of English. We had great fun trying to explain what we wanted in Spanish.
I recommend it for a true Spanish experience- all the other guests were Spanish- a good sign

Refúgio na serra
Modesto mas agradável embora necessite de um upgrade na canalização que faz um barulho irritante, o ar condicionado precisa de ser revisto, os quartos são pequenos. Embora seja um achado na serra, muito sossegado com vista para serra. A baixo preço.
