We only needed a one night stay before moving onto another area. The room we were given was excellent. Spotlessly clean. Everywhere seemed to be gleaming. The pool area looked beautiful with plenty of beds although we didn’t have time unfortunately, to use it. Breakfast was great and set us up for the day. Very impressed

Good Hotel
Just returned back from a lovely family holiday. Room was very clean and cleaned daily. Staff were very polite and friendly. We had no issues with getting sunbeds. We always eaten out as I am a fussy eater. We enjoyed it that much we have just booked to go back in November.

My Home Away From Home: Two Incredible August Trips (Solo & Family!)
Just returned from two separate, wonderful holidays at GF Fañabé (All-Inclusive) – a solo week from August 10th–17th, immediately followed by a family holiday with my sister, brother-in-law, and their three young children (girls aged 6 and my little nephew aged 3) from August 20th–27th. Having stayed here twice before in August (2022 and 2025), I already loved this hotel, but this year was extra special for me.
A Massive Thank You to the Team (and Cristina!)
First and foremost, I want to say a huge thank you to every single member of staff.
A very special thank you to Cristina in Guest Relations: I cannot thank you enough for all our conversations prior to my arrival. I was recovering from major surgery and was extremely nervous about taking my very first solo holiday, but you completely nailed it when you reassured me I had nothing to worry about. You made me feel so safe and looked after before I even set foot on the plane! You also went above and beyond to reassure us as a family regarding the kitchen support for my nephew, who has ARFID. Knowing the kitchen team was happy to help with his food took such a weight off our shoulders. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
From housekeeping and maintenance to Reception, the bar staff, restaurant team, animation squad, and lifeguards: EVERYONE was incredible. Having worked in hospitality myself for 12 years, I know firsthand how demanding peak season is. The fact that the team consistently took moments to have genuine conversations, offer a warm smile, and deliver brilliant service while working so hard was truly special.
A Gentle Reminder for Fellow Holidaymakers
What actually upset me at times was the behaviour of a few other guests. On a couple of evenings, the internet signal at the pool bar went down. This meant waiting a little longer to order a drink, no issue at all! Yet I witnessed some argumentative behaviour toward the staff, which was completely unacceptable. Please be considerate, staff are doing their best, and I’m sure anyone can wait an extra 10 minutes for a drink!
The same goes for general manners. It was frustrating seeing empty cups and rubbish left around sunbeds or pool tables. Interestingly, the three young children with us showed better table manners than some adults, my nephew and nieces actually found it exciting working out which recycling bin the rubbish needed to go in!
The Hotel, Food & Entertainment
The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and perfect for what you need (you don't spend much time in them anyway!).
Food-wise, there was always a fantastic variety for breakfast (the pastries are amazing!), lunch, and dinner. For my solo week, having everything on-site meant I could just relax and recover at my own pace without any pressure to leave the resort. For the family week, it was absolute perfection. The kids utterly adored the dessert section, and we could always find plenty of delicious options for everyone.
Regarding the "2 drinks per person" rule some reviews mention: I completely understand why it exists. Hotels have a duty of care and if rules like this weren’t in place, this could lead to some awful instances which they would be criticised for.
However, the staff quickly recognised us during our family stay, knew we were ordering 3 adult drinks and 3 milk drinks for the kids, and were more than happy for one of us to collect them. Common sense and kindness always prevail here!
The entertainment was brilliant and varied. If you want high energy, the animation team and evening acts are fantastic. If you prefer a chilled evening, you can sit at the front bar with live music and a cold drink.
Location & Final Thoughts
Costa Adeje is beautiful and GF Fañabé is perfectly situated: just 5 minutes in a taxi to Aqualand, 5 minutes to the beach, and 20 minutes from TFS airport.
Thank you again to every single staff member for helping us create memories we will treasure forever. I loved it so much that I've already booked another solo holiday here for the end of October! I cannot wait to be back in your care. ☀️

Family of 4 Review
Just got back from a week’s stay here as a family of 4 we travelled with another family of 3 so this is an honest review of our stay.
Pros:-
* Hotel grounds were spotless they are always cleaning which is lovely.
* Room was dated but clean and towels replaced daily and cleaned every morning (tip: don’t leave anything on the bed when you leave the room as the maids wont clean/ make the bed as I’m guessing they don’t want to touch your electronics which is fair enough)
* Drinks are good, lots of choice.
* Evening entertainment is good you have two choices of entertainment out the front is usually live music and out the back was mostly an act, and you get table service which is good too.
* They have lots of activities on in the day for adults and children.
* Not too far from the beachfront the walk isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be.
* Food was ok, always found something to eat.
Cons:-
* The sun-bed situation is diabolical the worst we have encountered, you have to sit with your sun-bed until 10am meaning you can’t go for breakfast as a family as breakfast closes at 10:15 we go on holiday to spend time with our loved ones and whilst i do get the pros of taking towels off beds that aren’t being used so that other people can get a sun-bed i think its awful that you can never eat as a family at breakfast if you want a sun-bed. I’d hate to have gone here when my children were smaller trying to navigate this situation. Also if you want a lot of beds together more than one person must be with the beds.
* You are limited to two drinks per person when at the bar so you have to go up multiple times to get everyone a drink if you are a bigger family, or more people need to go up together to get the drinks which is annoying if you have children and are trying to watch them whilst they are in the pool.
* You are not allowed to play catch in the pool even with a small ball, you are not allowed any inflatable other than a ring even though they sell other inflatables in the shop onsite, but yet they bring out big plastic boats which hurt people when they bang into them as the children trying to navigate these find it difficult. (Make that make sense)
* This isn’t a hotel problem but there were so many families there that just didn’t care what their children were doing just letting them run riot and even harassing other visitors, i get the parents are on holiday too but teach your child respect, other families have spent their hard earned money on coming here too!!
* The beds in the room we stayed in were honestly the most uncomfortable beds we have slept in, i woke up numerous times in the night with sore hips as the bed was so hard.
* The pool is located in such an awkward place, you get sun on your sun-bed from around 10:30-3:30 give or take as the hotel surrounds the pool.
* The lifeguards sit either inside or just outside the towel hut, (usually wearing earphones) so if anything bad was to happen they would struggle to actually see or hear it!.
Would we go back again….. no, it is advertised as 4* on jet 2 i would rate it as a lower end 3*.
Would i recommend it to anyone else….. also no, as although we had a nice time here, we have been to other resorts for around the same price that are much better so the con’s of this hotel outweigh the pro’s for us.

Amazing holiday
I have just came back from a week at gf fanabe me and my 8 year old daughter went together, firstly the hotel is lovely! The rooms are just basic but spacious and the cleaners do an amazing job! Unfortunately we didn’t have a view from our room and it was just a tree too look at and random steps in our room, the pools where very nice but it gets so busy that your lucky too find a lounger the policy is that you have to find your loungers and stay with them so basically if you want one you need to sit on your bed from very early in the morning too 10am when you can leave the beds with towels as someone walks up and down making sure you stay with the beds! Is a very busy hotel with more people than beds, 3 pools are very good one which offers entertainment in the mornings, food is very good we had half board which is breakfast and dinner or you can choose the lunch which is stuck to evening meal, there is a pool bar with food for all inclusive which we did try for payment but wasn’t very nice.. everything you need is a walk away! Amazing shops all along the front, beach is 5 minute walk , aqua land and activities are a 5 minute cab so can not beat location!! Lots of shopping centres in walking distance.. we had a amazing time here and the staff are very quick and helpful will definitely be back
