We were allowed to stay for two weeks in the Alse Homes apartment complex in the old town of Adeje. A fairly new, beautiful, modern and small (12) apartment complex with its own, albeit small, parking spaces in the basement and a nice and fun swimming pool on the roof, far enough away from the madness right on the coast. With various shops, breakfast shops and restaurants right around the corner. Since we only arrived at the complex around 8:30 PM on Saturday evening due to a small delay, we received a digital/electronic check-in via WhatsApp from employee Kristof, which went well. A beautiful complex and apartment in itself. Take a shower immediately after the trip. Unfortunately, the shower did not flow properly and water flowed into the rest of the bathroom. In collaboration with Kristof, the first thing I did on Sunday was to put a dishwasher tablet in the sink, but that didn't help. During our absence on Sunday, Kristof also had a look himself and tried something, but that didn't help either. Maybe we just wanted to use the small shower head, but that didn't help either. The next morning we could find a leftover unblocker near the door, but that didn't help either. But nothing more was heard from Kristof. We were done with it (and with Kristof's "helpfulness"), and from then on only used the small shower head at half power. Since you are a little way from the beach (> 15 minutes by car), we opted for the apartment with the large terrace (> 30 m2). We only used the terrace on the 2nd day, but unfortunately the outside area (terrace/terrace floor, sunbeds, table and chairs) had certainly not been properly cleaned, let alone even slightly reduced, before our arrival. Shame. Taking a vacuum cleaner or mop and water squeegee yourself was also a problem, because there is only 1 of everything (or not at all) in the entire set, and they were therefore not immediately available. Moreover, there appeared to be no awning or sun cloths on the large south-facing terrace, only a small parasol of 2.5 m! How? In the summer you get sunburned here. And there was no extra parasol available. I bought a sun cloth at the DIY shop and constructed it a bit. But what poverty. Not everything appeared to be equally clean inside: a somewhat dirty sofa and stains in a pillowcase (exchanged). The aluminum frame and window in the 1st bedroom were also anything but sound-insulating. I checked several times whether the sliding doors and/or a “Dauerlufter” were open, but neither was the case. So you are treated early to the sound of the traffic driving uphill (at high speeds) and the 2 church bells. And, modern doesn't have to be boring, and unfortunately it is here. So not all that nice. In itself a complex and apartment with a lot of potential, but various small and some major matters will have to be taken care of, and maintenance will have to continue to be carried out. Really a shame and a shame. If that had happened, we would have given this a 4-4.5, but it is now stuck at half.
