Perfect place in down town with amazing view ❤️
Amazing View and very good value for the money. Perfect for backpackers, solo travelers, couples or friends. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and areas. Definitely I will go back on my next trip to Cairo. Stayed there 3 nights and I felt like home ❤️.

Absolute Scam
Do not stay here - it may seem like a good budget hotel choice, but I can assure you that it's worth spending extra money to go somewhere that will take liability for damage to personal goods.
So starting with the 'big' thing. We come back from an outing to find that our room was flooded with water, belongings soaked, souvenirs damaged and ruined. The staff were not very sympathetic saying that it was not their fault, nor did they even contact us to inform us of the situation, pretending that they were not aware (even though someone had come into our room and went through our belongings).
They offered to clean our clothes, which came 3 hours late, still wet and full of stains - they woke us up at 1am to hand this to us.
They also refused to reimburse all of the damage caused by their hotel (costing us over £150, or 10000 Egyptian pounds) and thought a £10 taxi to the airport was enough compensation. The morning staff seemed clueless about what happened the night before, taking hours to locate the rest of our belongings, still refusing to compensate. The staff finally told me that they had emailed booking.com to give me a refund, and that 100% I will be refunded, to find out from booking.com that this was not the case with no refund issued.
Not only that, the windows in the room did not close stopping us from sleeping - it was extremely noisy outside. The hot water did not work for the shower and the bathroom tap was broken. The area around the hotel was a bit sketchy and did not feel fully safe.
Saving money on a cheaper hotel may cost you way more than the price paid for the room.
Do not trust the good reviews here and make the same mistake we did.

Avoid at all costs!!
I stayed with 2 friends for 6 nights.
Hotel is nothing like pictures
Location is hidden away so it was difficult to find, no signage at the front
No blankets/duvets, we had to ask for these and were given bed sheets. It got quite cold during the night.
No lock on bathroom door and the door is glass so there's no privacy
No door on shower so whole floor got wet
No room service throughout stay to change bed linen
Had to ask for fresh towels which were wet everytime
1 small bar of soap between 3 of us, not replenished
Toilet roll not replenished even after asking. We ended up buying our own.
Broken wardrobe
Noisy even past midnight
One night they started drilling and hammering at around 10pm
Breakfast was a plate of cold bread, boiled egg, a tomato and slice of cucumber. We decided against
Gave 10 items to be washed in the morning said it would be ready by 4pm, we arrived at the hotel at 9pm and asked for laundry which wasn't received, went out for food, returned at 11pm and asked again, again wasn't received, went down a third time to ask. Received 2 items and was told the rest would be sent in 20 minutes. One of the items was still dirty.
Booked a taxi for the airport for 8.30. Went to reception and he said he'd booked it for 9 by mistake. This was a lie he'd clearly forgotten the driver arrived 9.10. We told them to book a car big enough for luggage they said it wouldn't be problem. We ended up riding in the back with our hand luggage.
They force customers to leave good reviews as they leave the hotel so don't trust the positive reviews.

very good
Simple hotel very well located in the central square and steps from the Egyptian Museum.
Excellent attention from Carlos, very friendly. The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom good, just ask for those that do not face the square by the permanent horns of chaotic traffic Cairo

1 star hostel
Shocking. No towels provided unless requested, when requested, wet towels given.
Hot water non existent in shower. No hot water in tap either. Clothes washed came back dirty. One bar of soap. Room not cleaned in 6 nights.
Dirty rooms and bathroom. No shower door. Taxi requested on day of departure- receptionist forgot to request it. Despite this, staff try to appear friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a boiled egg and a couple of slices of bread on a dusty rooftop.
Location is good though. That's the only thing going for this hotel. You get what you pay for.
