**Make sure you take pictures of your room on check in and check out**
The only thing going for this place was the size of the room. The staff spoke very little English and were no help with anything. We were put in a third floor room - no elevators and they would not assist with the luggage. While not an issue for me, my traveling companion was over 60.
There were ants in the bathroom - not a terrible thing - but they were also in my bed and all over the breakfast food. The food was not appealing anyway. Bread that you could toast and three "buffet" options that were offered. They were served by staff and you only got one small piece of each.
There were no safes in the rooms so we had to keep our important documents with us as a precaution.
Upon checkout, they were trying to charge a member of our group for an apparent stain on a sheet. There was no stain and had to go back up to prove it. Check your credit card statement after leaving to make sure they didn't add any extra charges for that type of thing.

Find another option
3 star at best. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but very basic. No fridge, no safe, no smoke detector or operating lift for suitcases to 2nd and 3rd floor. Breakfast was the worst in Sth America.

Disappointing
Nice big room and bathroom but there was continous noisy banging building work all day from before 7am - which meant we couldn't relax during the day. Loud people in the small pool. Some people played loud music in that area at one point. Our room was next to the kitchen so lots of noise from 6am.
Staff rushed to check all rooms and bed sheets before we left. Don't give them your credit card when you check in as they might charge you for a new set of bed sheets!

Ok hotel - but they try to scam you on checkout
Very, very average hotel. The rooms were clean but basic. Luck of the drawer as to whether you have a fridge, non-working fridge or no fridge. IMPORTANT … take photos of EVERYTHING in your room upon arrival as you must sign a one-page contract calling out potential damage consequences. When checking out, DEMAND you be present for the room inspection as otherwise they will try to scam you for damage … our friends were brought down a fitted sheet, with an ‘apparent’ damage mark to the underside corner of the fitted sheet … you know the bit between the sheet & the mattress! Despite this being held up in reception, for all to see, no one could see the damage. The demand, pay USD $41 to replace the sheet. Simply awful. Such a scam process.

‘Contract’ Beware
We had a deeply unpleasant experience at this hotel and I would caution others before booking.
Upon arrival we were required to sign a ‘contract’ style document outlining potential charges for damage including specific and unusual conditions such as not placing suitcases on the bed ( no luggage racks provided)and removing all sunscreen ( no wash cloths provided) before sleeping to avoid staining the sheets.
The situation escalated at check out. Room was inspected and staff claimed there was a sheet stain. This was then handled in a highly unprofessional and public manner. Staff brought the sheet into the courtyard and later the breakfast room holding it up and pointing to the supposed stain. None of our group could identify any stain at all.
Despite the lack of visual damage, there was an expectation that there would be a charge not just for the single sheet but the entire sheet set!
This felt excessive, and unjustified and frankly seemed like an attempt to gain money from guests.
This combination of intimidating policies, public handling of a dispute and unreasonable charges left a very negative impression.
I would not recommend booking this hotel despite its excellent location. If you are a future guest, secure a copy of the ‘contract’, take photos of sheets and towels with date and time stamp and accompany staff when they conduct check out inspections.
