Nice experience

A very nice expérience in this hôtel. The rooms are clean and well decorated. The shower is nice with Real hot water. Host are nice and helpful. A traditionnal hotel. A terrasse to chill with hamac is a good thing too. 3 streets from la plaza de poncho, the handcraft market. I do recommand this hostel.

Awful.

Don't trust the receptionist. We stayed with my husband last night and he had given us a price and on leaving he charged us twice as much mentioning that the price was per person when on the platforms it is much cheaper.
The Service is terrible, it seems that I was doing you a favor, because they do not give you the option of breakfast unless you go a large group and take advantage of the time when the group will have breakfast. The bathroom had no toilet paper and the receptionist wouldn't give it to us.

Great hostel in Otovalo.

Very good location in central Otovalo. Staff all very friendly. Room was basic but very clean. Lovely cheap breakfast next door. Laundry came back very quickly. We were in a room at the back very quiet. Strange reflector light in room that we couldn’t turn off. You had to wait a little while for shower to run hot.

Location is good

Simple place to stay, it is located right in the center and is close to everything in centro, walking distance to Main Street, breakfast in the hotel is nice eggs, coffee, bread etc. Hotel doesn’t have restaurant but lots of restaurants around the hotel. Staff are nice.

Basic. Cold showers

Came here with G Adventures. Out of all the hotels this was the most basic although it did the job. The main minus point is the cold shower. We were told we needed to run the water 15 minutes to get hot water, yet there was a sign saying not to run the water more than a few minutes so not to waste the water. In fact there were several signs (mainly in Spanish saying not to do this and that). Doesn't impress. I did like the use of traditional Ecuadorian local bedspreads etc. Breakfast was basic. On returning home you won't want to look at scrambled egg again for weeks!
