Perfect for retreat or relaxing in truly amazing surroundings.
The standard rooms in the main building are small, but you get value for money.

Perfect

Nice dinner at Café Louise at eight in the evening. Staff very friendly. Surrounding of the hotel is beautiful. We have slept very well in our room in Skovly. Excellent breakfast. Always a bit difficult to leave in the morning. But we will return next year.

A memorable and enjoyable stay

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel's location is excellent, and the property itself is beautiful. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We would especially like to highlight the outstanding breakfast buffet, which left nothing to be desired. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Short stop in Kolding

Expensive hotel and we had a room in the dependance up on the mountain with no lake or fjord view. Breakfast was short of fruit. All in all disappointing. We had booked a table in the restaurant for diner and had a normal meal, however expensive.

Has to be 5*

5* all in all.
Location, buildings and not least staff makes this 5*. Staid busiest time of year which caused a few hiccups, but staff went complete out of their way to sort. We forgot a valuable item in our room, found by staff and we were contacted promptly. Kids thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the fjord, the indoor heated pool, table tennis and board games available at reception.
If a very critical customer, here are a few things to be aware:
1) family room (parent) beds are small and very soft. Single beds as advertised.
2) no aircondition
3) breakfast selection is quite limited (especially for open faced sandwiches) and drinking glasses are silly small, a trick that should not exist at 5* hotel). Many thanks to the permanent staff of hotel!
