Delicious open-faced sandwich
We got delicious open-faced sandwiches. A fried fish fillet, which was fantastically delicious, and with homemade remoulade, we think. I got a piece of hand-picked shrimp, the most delicious I have tasted in many years. Will definitely come back to Rudbøl Border Inn

Good food, good atmosphere and retro style.
Got Dining week menu. Two cute servants who were in hopla and knew to be involved in some fun. They were good at telling about the food.
The food was good, maybe not the big innovation but you can probably not expect a concept like Dining week.
Especially the meat was really well wet.
A very cozy place, with a nice retro style.

From expectation to disappointment
We had bought a Deal offer at Rudbøl Gränsekro, which included a 3-course chromium dinner, overnight stay and breakfast. Unfortunately the stay was characterized by a lack of information, poor service and a room in very poor condition. Already upon arrival, it was clear that the place was marked by the tooth of time. Many areas appeared worn, old and generally somewhat nutsized.
At check-in we were asked if we wanted to buy a wine menu for dinner, which we said yes thanks to. In addition, we received no information about the stay. We were not informed, for example, that the dinner was a social dining, which came as a surprise.
The wine menu turned out to consist of a bottle of white wine and a bottle of red wine, which stood on the table upon our arrival. There was no introduction to which wine to drink – we had to find out by reading the labels. It was only at the time of serving that we found out what the appetizer and the main dish consisted of.
When we stayed from Saturday to Sunday, there was evening entertainment. Music during the dinner was actually quite nice, but we were surprised that it was our borders who could tell us about the rest of the evening’s program, including dinner around midnight and an Elvis show later in the evening. Of course, that information should have come from the inn itself. Unfortunately, the Elvis imitator was also not worth the wait.
Practical information was also difficult to obtain. We had to search for an employee to find out when the breakfast – or "brunch", as it was called – was served. The selection consisted of an ordinary buffet breakfast, so the name brunch was somewhat misleading. Later we had to look again for an employee to get the time for check-out.
The biggest problem was the room. It was without comparison the smallest hotel room I have experienced in Denmark, and the cleaning standard was under all criticism. The white towels were filled with stains, the head pillow barely deserved the name pillow, and we had to remove several spiders. The bathroom was almost comically decorated – the shower was located under a sloping wall and seemed mostly designed for a hobbit.
The worst thing was the window. The woodwork was heavily attacked by counts, and both the window and the curtains were filled with fluelort. The room was generally very worn and appeared as the rest of the inn old, nussed and poorly kept.
Overall, the stay left an impression of lack of maintenance, worn environment, insufficient information and a service level far below the expected.
Unfortunately we won't come back.

Moderate stay
Cozy inn room nice food the first day was not anything special the second day moderate dessert was fine.
They have not managed their billing discovered too late that we had paid for a slice of house wine as well as three plates of beer too much???

Disappointing level of cleaning and food according to price
We ordered housing with half pension. Was located in room/apartment in house 100 meters from the inn. The floorboards gossiped. The bed was 1.40 wide. The whole apartment was dusty, filled with spindle fabric and dirty in the hooks - the curtains were almost as dirty as the windows. The toilet dirty with stool on toilet board and tub. One dyne was a thick heavy carpet. The other was in a too small cover. The food was served in unchanged premises, where the chairs were worn and the cleaning was defective. The main dish was provided with a couple of peanut stems and a couple of spring onions, it was all green - and the portion very modest in size. The dessert was ok, but definitely nothing special: apple cake in portions: factory apple moss with a single macron and factory cream foam placed flat on top. Service friendly. We had expected a lot more for the price, which corresponds to other significantly better inns.
