Hotel very well located.

Hotel very, very well located near the central station and a subway station just steps away. Tivoli is a 10-minute walk, as is the city center. The reception is available 24 hours a day and is very welcoming. You also have the option to rent bicycles, including children's bikes. Expect to pay €20 per day per bike. The breakfast is plentiful, but be careful; it is often crowded in the morning between 8 AM and 9 AM, so you have to wait for a table. The rooms are small but functional. Our bathroom was very small, and the only downside is the shower with the shower curtain that sticks to you when you are wet.

Excellent location and solid 3-star hotel

EXCELLENT location. Literally steps away from Copenhagen Central Station and walkable to many different activities. The family room was small, but adequate. The staff was friendly enough. Clean and safe. Beware of the elevators though - the elevators are located BETWEEN floors, forcing you up and down stairs, regardless of what floor you're on. A total pain if you have luggage, a wheelchair, stroller, etc.

Our building dates back to the 1890s and was lovingly renovated to retain its character. Rooms are compact but thoughtfully equipped with Wi-Fi, TV, tea and coffee, a mini fridge, a safe, a workspace, and a private bathroom with underfloor heating.
We are sorry for any inconvenience with the elevator. As it was added later, it stops between floors, so guests need to take half a flight of stairs, and the hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Recently renovated and clean, with simple rooms. However, my room had no ventilation (no A/C, no notable air flow) and got very stuffy during the warm night if I did not have the window open. That, with the smell of a chlorine cleaning agent (even with the window open) meant I slept very poorly.

NOT for the Elderly, stupid Stairs & Lift design.

NO ! Dont go to Go Ansgar if you are Elderly and travelling with luggage. My wife and I had just arrived from a cruise and we each had 1 Large Suitcase and Cabin bag. After checking in I asked to look at the room first and saw that there were about 8 steps up to where the lift was ( after 2 steps up from the foyer) and when you got to your floor there were also another 8 or so steps either up or down to your room hallway (stupid design) . At our age (young and fit for 78 & 80) we decided it was just too hard to do this and decided not to struggle with our big bags and put them into their storage lockers as we had clean clothes in our cabin bags for the next day. The staff made no offer to help in this process which was a shame. We knew the room was small but didn't realise there was NO air conditioning , just 1 top opening window and this was on a hot summer day so sleeping was uncomfortable. This was our 3rd trip to Copenhagen and our worst pick of a Hotel to stay in.

Our hotel dates back to the 1890s, and the later-added lift stops between floors, as mentioned on the booking sites. This means there are half-flights of stairs to navigate. We understand this can be challenging, especially with larger luggage.
Rooms are compact in this historic building, yet renovated for comfort with Wi‑Fi, TV, tea/coffee facilities, a safe, mini fridge, workspace, and a private bathroom with underfloor heating. The temperature in Denmark is never very high, so the rooms are provided with ventilators, not AIR CON.
We hope to welcome you back for a better stay.

The staff were very nice. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was clean. However, the rooms are very small and even though there is an elevator, it stops between floors so you'll still need to carry bags a half floor.
