Villa Benic
Surrounded by greenery, Villa Benic enjoys a quiet location, only 750 metres from the UNESCO-protected Old Town of Dubrovnik. Housed in a stone building, it offers air-conditioned accommodation with a sea view from its furnished balcony or a patio. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Studio comes with hardwood floors and comprise a flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom. Amenities in studio include a fridge and an electric kettle and kitchenette. Guests can relax in the lush and well-kept garden with a seating area, or enjoy the famous Stradun Promenade and Dubrovnik’s vibrant centre with numerous bars, shops and restaurants, which is a 10-minute walk away. The nearest grocery store and a bar are 50 metres from the Benic Villa. A well-known Banje Beach can be reached within a 15-minute walk. Dubrovnik Airport is at a distance of 20 km and a pick-up can be arranged upon request. Free enclosed private parking is possible on site.

A True Gem of a Place With an Incredible View!
When you arrive at the address, you’ll see there’s a public parking lot on the right hand side as you’re headed towards Dubrovnik, and right across the street are several locked gates.
I texted the host, and he immediately texted me back that he was sending his daughter down to let us in. Within minutes, she came down and let us in through the gate and proceeded to explain how to use the key fob, take us to our room, and spend some time showing us how to use the (excellent) AC, the doors to the balcony, and give us pointers on great places to eat and go in Dubrovnik. This is all at past midnight, but she was so lovely and helpful and didn’t seem put out in the slightest; she made us feel so welcome, despite our outrageously late arrival.
The bed was so comfortable, the room is the perfect size for 2 people, and the shower is downright luxurious. I forgot to take photos of the inside, but the photos on Booking.com are really representative of what it’s like: very clean, spacious, despite being a studio, with a little fridge/freezer, 2 really effective electric burners, a kettle, and a thoughtful collection of kitchen staples to make it easy to self-cater (which I highly recommend, as Dubrovnik is stupid expensive, and the real star is the fresh food and delightful cured meats/cheeses and bread you can easily obtain from the shop next door)
The true gem is the balcony with the incredible view of the Adriatic Sea, and the old fort right outside the famous walls of Dubrovnik. We spent one whole day of our trip just staying in the apartment, enjoying the view and cooking fresh, delicious meals from the groceries we bought at the tiny shop just a minute’s walk from our gate.
(That shop deserves a 5* review of its own; the staff were so friendly and helpful, the produce so fresh, and the turkey meatballs that we happened to buy were some of our favorite bites of the trip.)
My mom and I had the best time here, and I’m so glad we managed to snag this incredible apartment for the duration of our 3 days in Dubrovnik!
I am planning to stay here again with my husband the next time we go to Croatia, as it’s the perfect place for a cozy couple’s retreat!

A Dubrovnik Gem
This had everything you needed a proper home from home
Great clean rooms and bathroom
The rooms had great view and was very comfy. The owners were very welcoming with plenty of knowledge to give us on our arrival. The walk into town was so picturesque, like something out of a movie.
Would recommend Villa Benic 100%
And we will definitely be going back.

Totally satisfied
This is a family run Villa and the family is wonderful. We were having a little difficulty with our visa card and our phone was broken so Nada (the daughter of the owners) came to our room and let us use her phone to call our bank back in Canada to correct the issue. Nada really went out of her way to help and followed that up with some great suggestions for when we left Dubrovnik and went to our next stop which was Sarajevo. Thank you Nada.
Our room was a good size, clean and very comfortable. We had a separate bathroom down the hall and the bathroom was for us only. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. It has a huge tub with a shower.
We found Villa Benic to be good value for the money and would not hesitate to return if in Dubrovnik.
Free parking is available on site if you reserve when booking. That turned out to be a bigger bonus than expected because parking rates in Dubrovnik are incredibly high, even by European standards.
We have no problem recommending Villa Benic to fellow travelers.
