Amazing time at Mango Moon Villas!
I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience at Mango Moon Villas! The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is perfect, the staff were all incredibly kind and accommodating, and the animals! We saw SO MANY animals! First of all, I should mention that they upgraded our room on arrival, putting us in a very spacious suite with an incredible view - we could see the ocean below from our private balcony, which also overlooked their lovely little swimming pool and was directly across from a roof where squirrel monkeys would come to play. The room was clean - and kept that way by the cleaning staff who came in to tidy things each day. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant one night - while Korean BBQ might not be the traditional meal you expect in Costa Rica, it was absolutely delicious and wonderful to eat looking out off the balcony. Every morning breakfast was provided - and included 3 options so that there were choices for those who wanted a more traditional Costa Rican breakfast OR those who wanted to opt for something else - it was always delicious either way and came with the best fresh fruit and juice each morning! This was our first trip to Costa Rica and all we wanted was to see animals and this hotel more than delivered on that - we saw monkeys (squirrel & howler) every single day we were there and also a whole bunch of interesting lizards and birds. Finally, I can't end this review without giving a shoutout to Jose who worked the front desk - he was the sweetest and had great recommendations for us - we really loved chatting with him and think he deserves high praise for what a great job he does! We also really enjoyed meeting and talking with the owner and her adorable dog - it is obvious how much care she puts into running her hotel! Staying at Mango Moon really made our first trip to Costa Rica and our 20th anniversary very special and I can't recommend it higher than to say that we hope to be back one day!

Magical
Mango Moon is a TRULY special and magical place. The location is SUPERB- it is in a jungle on the edge of the Pacific Ocean with the MOST spectacular views and wildlife. We saw more wildlife on the property than in Manuel Antonio National Park. We were sung to by the Toucan on our first morning having the most delicious breakfast cooked by the caring staff looking out at the magnificent view. We were visited by squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys while hearing howler monkeys from a short distance away. Words cannot encapsulate how truly magical it was. The boutique hotel is top notch clean, cared for and very cozy, it felt like home, truly. The added bonus which we did not even expect were the people who run and manage this hotel. Everyone has been so genuine, caring and kind. My daughter and I enjoyed our morning conversations with the Owner Fran who shared interesting Costa Rican history and provided great tips for getting around and the most special shout out to Jose who manages reception and wears all other hats, he is a true GEM and provided us amazing tips and is just one of the BEST human beings to exist. The location was perfect, further away from crowds yet short walking distance to the most beautiful beaches as well as town to taste local Costa Rican food, coffee and live music!

The big plus is the hotel's garden.
While drinking your coffee, you can admire the monkeys, the birds, the iguanas....
The staff is very pleasant.

Heaven in the jungle overlooking the sea
I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough, it has everything you could want. Mind blowing views surrounded by jungle, sea and so much wildlife you never get bored of staring at that view. I had a room with a balcony which I practised yoga on everyday? They supplied the mat the room was super clean and comfortable, even comfortable pillows. The breakfast included in the price was stunning, amazing selection of fruit, cereal yoghurt and omelettes, coffee very nice too and fresh juices sat overlooking the sea. A gorgeous monkey came into say hello one day. I saw toucans, howler monkeys, eagles, iguanas brightly coloured butterflies and birds. And much much more, plus a fabulous sunset every evening from my balcony . The staff are really friendly but not pushy and give you complete privacy and peace but are happy to chat if you want or need anything. The whole vibe is just gorgeous, I was travelling solo and felt so safe being here alone….. keep up the good work guys, in my top 2 hotels ever. A true slice of paradise ❤️

A magical experience
We traveled around for three weeks in Costa Rica and had our final destination in Manuel Antonio. Mangomoon hotel we had chosen from a thought that we would round the trip off in magnificent surroundings and with fantastic views of the sea. We had also read about the hotel that there would be plenty of opportunity to see monkeys and parrot from the balconies. It all lived up to our expectations and more. When we arrived, we were baffled over the view that stretched over wooden crowns down to a turquoise blue sea that shone in the afternoon sun. An incredible sight. The atmosphere was in the top class and especially we were incredibly well received, helped by and cared for by a cute young man who worked in the reception. We talked to him about everything from Costa Rica’s rich plant and flower life, Costa Rican food and recipes and he helped us have a fantastic day in the National Park. He was really a star that we highly appreciated and to which we send a loving thought. Thank you so much for some unforgettable days in this beautiful country and at this lovely hotel with so caring and good people.
