Adorable igloos near the entrance to Manuel Antonio Park. Very clean, loved the breakfast and pool. Great beach close by and mini market across the street. A little rustic, but cute, with all comforts and everything worked well. Amazing friendly staff, we loved Emmy our waitress, she was so helpful!

AVOID

Does not even deserve a single star. Reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. Both rooms were dirty and had issues with the toilets. We were moved from 1 room because the AC was not working only to be moved to another room that the AC was not working either. We told them right away and they even agreed the AC was not working. However, the manager was off and was unable to be reached. They asked us to give it some time and may cool down once the sun went down??? There was mold in the bathrooms and was apparent that cleaning is not a priority here. We were even told they were aware and working on the cleaning crew. We had to keep the fan on high speed just to ventilate which made a noise all night that resulted in no sleep! The pictures online look nothing like in person. We checked out the very next morning explaining why and they understood. The manager was not expected in until 11AM so rather than wasting even more time waiting to talk wit him; we were told to text him on What’s App and he would get back to us. Have tried to contact him multiple times with no response. Shocking. But not shocked why this place looks so run down with no management. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place! Not at all what they advertise online.

We take this seriously, so we want to give the full context rather than only the version in your review.
On the air conditioning: the units in both rooms were running. What no system can do is bring a room to cold in ten minutes while the afternoon sun is on the building, which is exactly why we moved you and asked for a short window to let the second room cool down. That isn't a broken unit, it's how cooling works against direct afternoon heat, and we were straight with you about it at the time.
On cleaning, we're currently in our low-season deep-clean and maintenance cycle across the property. Your room should have met that standard before you arrived, and it didn't. We've already tightened our pre-arrival checks, and we're not going to make excuses for that one.
When you raised these issues, our team was on it that same evening and ready to keep working with you the next day. Instead, you checked out the following morning, before we were given the chance to finish making it right. We respect the decision, but the stay was cut short on your end, not abandoned on ours.
What we don't accept is the broader picture you paint, a run-down property with no management. That isn't this hotel, it isn't what our recent guests describe, and our photos represent the property accurately. Anyone reading this is welcome to compare for themselves.

Hotel was really close to beach and a walking distance from national park. We had a good time!

Hotel was really amazing and very clean. Due to less igloos it felt very private and convenient. Beach is 5 min walk and guest service was 5 star.

A warm welcome in an Igloo!

We really enjoyed our stay at Igloo Beach Lodge. It is a unique and fun hotel with very welcoming staff, especially Nikki the resident dog. The restaurant accommodated early breakfast on two mornings as we had early trips booked. Our rooms were cleaned with great attention each day, the staff even took time to carefully arrange our daughter’s teddies on their bed!
The location so close to the beach and Manuel Antonio Park made this an ideal choice.
