No frills authentic stay with superb location

We phoned last minute for a twin room and the staff were so helpful. If you are looking for a real characteristic place right on the beach with little or no outside influence this is for you !
We wished we stayed longer and the owners were superb. A real tico experience.

Super chill!

We had a great time at Surfhost! Everyone there was really nice and we felt very much at home. The location right on Garza beach is fantastic. It was easy to travel to the more touristy areas nearby, but the beach, store and two nice restaurants were all well within walking distance. The beds had mosquito nets but we didn’t need or use them. There was always a nice sea breeze and soothing surf sounds. While everything was clean, the shared bathroom may not be for everyone—we were fine with it. A very nice laidback experience. Thanks!
