Great stay in Limassol!

Great hostel in a prine location at the heart of Limassol. Close to all Cafes, restaurants and attractions. 2 min from the beach front. Plenty of supermarket and buses nearby. The dorms room is big enough, comfortable beds and mattresses. Places to hang clothes. You get clean linen and a towel. Shower has hot water all day long. Well equipped kitchen, nice common area with sofas and screen projector. There is also a big balcony. Need to rake off shoes inside the hostel so bring your flip flops. The hostel is sparkling clean. Strong free Wi-Fi. The staff is amazing and make sure to take care of everything, even if you check in late as I did.

WARNING: SEVERE HEALTH HAZARD

WARNING: SEVERE HEALTH HAZARD & ZERO SUPPORT FROM BOOKING.COM
DO NOT STAY HERE. Before my stay, I saw recent reviews warning of a severe bed bug infestation. I immediately contacted Booking.com to cancel and find a safe alternative. Unbelievably, Booking.com refused to cancel and explicitly instructed me to check in anyway to take photos and videos of the hazard to "prove" it in order to get their support.
I followed their instructions and walked into a nightmare. The conditions are absolutely horrific, unsanitary, and a severe biological hazard. Based on what I saw and documented, it is impossible that this place is legally licensed to operate.
I took the photos and videos exactly as Booking.com demanded and sent them in. Their response? They completely ghosted me. They stopped replying entirely and left me stranded in an unsafe, infested building.
I had to flee, lose my money, and book an entirely different hostel out of my own pocket at the last minute.
White Hostel is a dangerous health hazard that should be shut down. Booking.com is complicit—they actively forced me into a dangerous situation to gather evidence for them, only to steal my money and abandon me. Avoid this hostel at all costs, and do not trust Booking.com to protect your safety!

invisible hostel - so difficult to get to!

that place is impossible to find! it took us 30 mins to get to the hostel - no info on the street, no directions on the website, the guy who had his shift in the hostel couldn't even help us once called. the only sign with a hostel name is written with tippex above the entrance - good luck with that. the service was appalling - the guy was rude and couldn't answer simple questions regarding our stay. he didn't even get up from the couch when we entered the hostel.
on the positives - hostel was clean, well eqqupied with WiFi working just good.
tip: follow the pics to find the hostel.

Not Safe, Females should NOT stay here

I hate to leave bad reviews because I know everyone TRIES to run a decent business... however, this was the worst hostel I've ever stayed at. Limassol is not a nice town despite being on the coast with beautiful blue waters. Nothing else is beautiful about this town. The people walking the streets seem a little oppressed; the flea market was even a little scary... it's just not the typical town with tourists enjoying the sights. I don't think it's worth the time of a tourist when Paphos is so close. My daughter and I were backpacking and saw that the reviews for this hostel were pretty good, so we thought we'd try it out.
Limassol & Directions: This hostel is extremely hard to find. You will NOT find it without help from someone, and you'll be better off arriving before dark since you don't know who's lurking in the dark alleys & stairway you'll need to pass through. We took the airport bus from Larnaca and a friendly man on the bus helped us find the city bus so we wouldn't have to walk a long way. The bus was full of men that even made us nervous. We walked to where we thought the hostel was, but 2 different locals pointed us a little further into the alley. The directions on the HostelWorld app are incomplete, and there are no signs anywhere. Even when you find it, you're not sure if you're entering someone's apartment with the front door open, except there may be a small sign at the front door as well as construction trash all over the hallway. We saw a tiny elevator after we had carried our luggage up 3 flights, and it was pretty decent, so if you choose to stay here, look for the elevator before going up the dark stairway.
Check-in: We arrived at midnight and there was no one to check us in even though it advertises 24-hr check-in. There were a few girls sitting on the couch watching TV, and one got up, so we told her that we had booked 2 beds. She told us to stay on the couch until she could confirm our booking and called someone. She made us some tea which we thought was so nice, but really it was to keep us from wandering around the hostel while we waited. Once she got confirmation, she gave us a quick tour of the mixed dorm room by flipping on the light at midnight while men were asleep in their beds. I quickly explained that we had booked the female room, and she made us wait some more and made another phone call.
Female Dorm Room: Finally she took us into a room where there was only 1 available bed and she tore off the bedding from a second bed and told us those were our beds. (We think she had to give up her bed, and that many of the girls live there long-term.) In the morning, it looked like one of the girls had slept on the couch in the living room and was made to get up when we saw her. We were given a towel with new sheets in a store-bought package. There was stuff everywhere, under every bed, in all the cubbies except one, and the clothes rack was full of clothes, so we didn't even think of hanging anything up. There was no place for new guests to put their things. There was no space under our bunk bed to put our backpacks; it was already full of what we think were her belongings; so we had to keep our things on the floor. There were 2 doors in the room--the door to the living room was very strange and had no lock and didn't even latch closed. There was also a sliding glass door to the common deck. Anyone could come into our room at night. When I made my bed, a big COCKROACH crawled off of it. Beds don't have lights or USB outlets, but there was one outlet in the room near my daughter's bed and everyone used it.
Bathrooms: There were only 2 bathrooms with tiny showers with no vanity space to set your things on, but they were clean.
Rude Employee: My daughter got in the top bunk, and I was getting my bed ready when a Russian boy knocked at our door. He had difficulty with his English, but proceeded to lecture us for not putting the tea away (when someone serves you tea, you don't expect to have to clean up afterwards, especially when you don't know where things belong!) Then he started yelling at me for wearing my street shoes in the house, even though I had just washed my sandals in the shower! Plus I didn't want to go barefoot with cockroaches scampering around! Mind you, this was around 1:00 in the morning! I walked out and asked where the tea things belonged so I could put them away and he barged into the girl's dorm even though my daughter was in bed. I told him to get out of the girl's dorm and that men weren't allowed in there and he told me that his girlfriend's things were in there. I couldn't believe the lack of respect we were shown. The girls in the living room tried to translate his Russian, and just apologized for him and said he gets cranky sometimes. It was a horrible way to have to fall asleep.
Sleeping Conditions: Smoking was allowed on the balcony outside our bedroom and there's a bar right on the other side of the alley blaring loud music at 1:00am so bring earplugs! No blankets were offered to us even though there was a fan running all night in the corner, so bring your own blanket. After we went to bed, people walked in and out and left the door open to the lighted living room while we were trying to sleep.
Wifi: The wifi is NOT strong - it completely quit working in the morning so we had to find a cafe with wifi.
This was not a safe or friendly place at all. Long-term guests are managing the hostel (and not doing a great job of it.) We never actually met the manager or owner and there were lots of strange looking Russian guys hanging around.
Check-Out: No one could check us out with a credit card and we didn't have cash... so be sure to have cash even though they say credit cards are accepted. We had trouble finding someone who spoke English, and waited for a boy to make a phone call and finally we told him we would walk around Limassol while he figured it out. We came back an hour later and still no one could figure out how to take our credit card. They kept making phone calls, and finally they were told to let us go with just the deposit we had made online.
Outside the Hostel: Outside the entrance, there is a lotto business where all the gambling men of the city sit outside waiting to see their lucky number. Across the street is the ocean and a cute overpriced café playing classical music... a totally different world from the hostel.
Skip Limassol altogether and go straight to Paphos... it's quaint and beautiful.
