We booked this guesthouse for a single night before our early morning hike on the Great Wall between Jiankou 箭扣 and Mutianyu 慕田峪. For this purpose, it's an excellent choice. But that said, obviously do not expect the comfort level of a regular hotel: the room is basic, with hard beds, no towels, and in our case no toilet paper in the bathroom (which may have been a simple oversight, but since we arrived at 11 PM and everyone had gone to sleep already, we didn't make a fuss about it). All in all a solid choice that we would make again if we were to do this hike a second time 👌

You stay very close at the wild wall, but it is hard to get to the hotel by public transport, since buses are only driving twice a day. The food in the restaurant tastes very good and it has vegetarian options. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend, if you want to experience the wall.

Great location in a quite village for exploring the wild sections of the Great Wall such as the Sky ladder and Beijing knot on the first day. Food was fantastic and offered lots of choice for our vegetarian diet. Hot water required a little wait and the room was quite chilly but it was a cold night!

Excellent location for getting up to wild parts of the Great Wall. A nice family run the place and provide everything you need. Basic but decent.
