We enjoyed our stay very much. Room was spacious and clean, hotel breakfast was good, food was aplenty near the cross junction. As we had a wheelchair, we used Didi whenever we went out. Everything was convenient. For foreigners, you might want to download Alipay App and tie it to your credit card. There is an in app Didi ride hailing service, equipment to Grab or Uber. It is a lot safer and cheaper that taking a taxi, since there is record on the platform, drivers can't scam you. Attached here are photos from Kunming Old Street, takeaway food from hotel nearby, and flowers from Dounan Flower Market.

Excellent! Really recomendable. The matress is hard but not as much as traditional Chinese mattresses can be: good for my back. A large bed let me move. Cleaning was perfect as well.
But what made this hotel outstanding was its staff. Two examples: I arrived in the middle of the night by taxi and I couldn’t pay the taxi (I have Alipay but not WeChat, and the driver didn’t have Alipay): the receptionist did the exchange. The next day I wanted to buy a battery in Taobao, but couldn’t manage it in Chinese, they patiently helped me and the battery arrived in 2 days. And I could also talk about the cooks, preparing special items sometimes

modern room is ultra connected but ultimately it was rather useless and boring with LEDs that do not turn off at night, the toilet or shower that turns on for nothing, the heat pump that does not work well, the window that does not look out onto gloomy walls, an enclosed courtyard

Young man at check-in was polite & helpful, much appreciation to him. Room was large but dark with much wasted space, could have added a couch, table and some lamps. Sink was inconveniently placed away from the bathroom. Window was small, with view of other windows. Breakfast was good, with friendly & hard working staff.
