Great family run place in Shangri la

This is one of the nicest places I have been in China
The rooms were spacious and clean and the bathroom very good.
Outside the rooms is a very pleasant area to sit in (as can be seen in the pictures).
And above all - the woman running the place was very welcoming, and helped us with traveling ideas.
Would definitely recommend this place!

Centrally Located with Tibetan Touch

As a frequent traveler, I regularly visit various places. This time 6D/5N stayed here.
The owner has business in another province; unfortunately, the service and attention for the customer has disappeared! English is moderate, and staff seems not/less interested in the (western) customer.
Check in was slow. Location is good, on the edge of the old town. Several local shops for daily drinks within walking distance, also a great supermarket.
Bus stop is around the corner, number 3 takes you to the local market or monastery.
Spacious room 208 with window on the street side. Noisy because of the passers-by, and that can be late into the night. Great bed. Toilet does not always flush, and hot water can be hot.
I have the strong impression that the room we got was not completely cleaned; an empty shampoo bottle, used soap in the shower, and in various places black hairs, also between the sheets were hairs!!
*During my 6D/5N stay didn't always clean the room or change towels or bedding! Am I too demanding? Definitely a point for improvement!

Bodhi Inn is a great place to stay!

Bodhi Inn is a great place to stay! Very nice decoration, great shower, comfortable bed and has also a nice restaurant & Cafe, also for the breakfast for Western style breakfast! The location was very convenient and inside the ancient city of Shangrila, so very close to the square, and walking distance to the temples and bus station! The owner was very helpful and friendly and can help with great advise for where to go to; also the places more difficult to find. From the guesthouse easy to walk to the square and to explore the ancient town; to other restaurants, cafes /restaurants and shops in the area. Just try it & Enjoy! Tashi Delek! Emma (Stayed there in the beginning of April 2021)

Wonderful Cosy Stay

On our previous visit we had discovered this spot! There was recognition, what an energy has the owner! The hotel located in one of the main streets, has a great location (with breakfast possibilities + afternoon drink), walking distance to the square, and bus number 3 for the monastery. Various convenient shops nearby. Tibetan decorated spacious room, comfortable bed, and good shower.

Super cute and central

The style of of this little hotel is amazing. The bed is soft and (after a little troubleshooting with the owner) the hot water is excellent after long hikes. The owner is very nice and has fluent English skills. Breakfast is light and fresh too.
