Beautifully designed hotel in a village not too far from the main road to Dali. Service kind and professional - arranged breakfast early on departure day. Staff also made a good effort to minimise disruption due to a large party. Highly recommended.

The public area is very large, and it is very comfortable to sit on the grass and bask in the sun in the afternoon. There is also a restaurant here, which serves Yunnan fusion cuisine. The chef used to be from the Beijing Yunnan Cuisine Club, but now he has returned to Dali. The hosts are all picky people, and the dishes they cook must be delicious. My favorite is the mixed eggplant, with a lot of garlic, fragrant and juicy. After dinner, you can drink and talk around the fire in the bar, and drink until you are slightly drunk by the fire, which is very comfortable. If you want to experience a slow life when you come to Daxiang, you can come to Mutian Yangshan for two days.
