Excellent stay here

This resort was located near the south gate of Wutai mountain and provided free shuttle bus to Wuye Temple each morning at 7 am, 8 am and 10 am. I received a room upgrade to a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a variety of Chinese and Western cuisines. Pantries and fresh fruits was impressive. Don't miss the indoor pool so fantastic. The area of villas and garden has a great walking path.

Best for Location

Stayed one night as part of tour. Facility looks ok for the public spaces but rooms have seen its best days. WiFi slow. Offsetting this is the convenient location. Restaurant downstairs is large and when busy very loud.

My room was spotless—so clean and fresh, and completely non-smoking, which was a huge plus. I loved relaxing in the bathtub while taking in the view.
Breakfast was a solid win with varieties of options, both international and Chinese. My favorite part was the freshly squeezed juice —such a nice touch! The Chinese restaurant downstairs was also great, especially the spicy chicken dish. If you like bold flavors, it's a must-try.
The hotel offers four mineral hot bath pools, which looked super clean. They do come at an extra charge, but they seem worth it if you're looking to unwind. Speaking of relaxation, the spa was amazing! The lady massager was incredibly kind, helping me with my lower back pain after a long week of traveling. She even shared a tip—walking backward to ease the pain!
The only downside was that during the spring season, there’s no air conditioning. If the room gets a bit warm, you’ll need to open the window for cooler air.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend this place!

It was a nice hotel and the room was comfortable, except that the in-room temperature couldn’t be adjusted… I understand that it was cold outside, but I couldn’t sleep when the temperature stayed at 26.5 centigrade throughout the entire night. I only managed to catch a bit of sleep after daybreak when I opened the balcony door to let some cold air in.

The massive Wutai Mountain Marriott combines a spectacular facility with polished and friendly service, nothing was too much for the ever present and willing staff. Wu Tai Shan is a gem of a place to visit and the comforts of the Marriott certainly put the cream on the cake.
