Beautiful location with friendly and helpful owner Stephan
Hotel vicunas has a good location, a nice breakfast, and especially the owner Stepan is incredibly nice and helpful. He can give good information about the area. He's given some great tips for getting out and about. One day we had problems with the Camper. He helped us change the tire. This is a place you should go.

Beautiful and cozy place, excellent attention from its owners, at all times concerned that you have a good experience in the area. I am particularly grateful to Stephan for the data and recommendations to make the visit to the highlands even more enriching.
I recommend the place for those who want to know the highlands with the comfort of a hotel; rich breakfast, clean rooms, hot shower, large patio, quiet common spaces...

Excellent experience
Family hotel very good service by its own owners. Very spacious rooms and hot shower all day/night. Wonderful quiet place and away from the center of the Village of Putre (300 meters) perfect to rest and take excellent photographs around thanks to the advice of its owners

Great experience in Putre
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (while we were there we decided to add an extra night).
Pueblo from Putre is super cute, served with groceries, a few shops and good restaurants.
The hotel is at the beginning of the village, in a great location!
The whole family that manages the hotel made us feel from the first moment like “at home”, welcoming and available in case of need.
We arrived in Putre with our own 4x4 car and did all the excursions in the area independently, but on request the owners organize guided tours!
We could not find a better solution.

Nice and authentic hotel in Putre!
The Hotel Las Vicuñas in Putre is beautifully and quietly located, 5 minutes walk from the town centre, where there are restaurants and shops.
The rental car can be parked in the hotel grounds or directly in front of the room.
The Hotel Las Vicuñas is a family hotel consisting of several buildings.
Upon arrival and welcome you immediately feel the warmth of the owners.
Stephan and the family strive to meet all wishes, Stephan gives you all the information and makes suggestions for trips in the area.
What is immensely important, Stephan and the family members all speak fluent English, which simplifies the whole thing, especially when describing the destinations and infrastructure (condition and navigability of the roads).
Those who do not arrive with their own rental car can book excursions with the family at a very fair price.
The rooms are simply equipped but have a decent size, running hot water, the room is heated with an electric fan, which is quite sufficient.
Breakfast is more than sufficient every day with scrambled eggs, cheese, hot rolls, milk, butter, jam, tea, coffee.
The three German Shepherds of the family are outdoors on the hotel grounds and very quiet.
Since we had arrived for the season and altitude with not enough warm clothes, Stephan and his mother immediately provided us with additional warm clothes!
Also the request for hot water was always complied with immediately and gladly and brought in a thermos that you can prepare yourself a tea, coffee in the room.
The internet works perfectly.
The communication already in advance was impeccable, Stephan has already given us hints on how to get there, as there are just temporary construction site closures on the Routa 11.
You can easily make your way to the Hotel Las Vicuñas with a normal, smaller rental car, even excursions in the surrounding area, Stephan tells you exactly what is navigable and what is not.
The recommendations and advice from Stephan and his family for this environment in Chile are priceless! The family helps with problems, should any happen, which is immensely important ...
