Nice, central and cheap

A hostel with an annex around the corner - I stayed in the annex which has around 6 rooms, a bathroom between 3 rooms, a large lounge/diner, a basic kitchen and a garden. The bed was comfortable and felt new. There is some street noise and the walls are thin if your neighbour snores or uses their phone late. Breakfast is OK, the shower strong and hot and the WiFi fast and reliable.
It's located close to the central plaza and the Plaza Pinto, and there's a big supermarket next door. You can take colectivo no. 8 from the bus terminal $450 and it's not too far to walk to the rural one.
Overall very nice and I would have stayed longer if it weren't fully booked.

A great place to stay in Los Angeles

It is very dificult to find a nice place in Los Angeles. The hostels are very expensive, not clean and the owners are not frinedly. But the Frontera Hostal has very good prices, the hostel is clean and the owner are very friendly. So we enjoued the hostel very much and we recommend the hostel.
We are travelling since 4, 5 months in Argentina and so we know a lot of hostels and this is really a good one.

Good place to stay in Los Angeles

Alta Frontera is a cozy hostel located in downtown Los Angeles, run by a husband and wife team. Rooms are available inside the main house, or in the annex outside, where we slept. Room had bunkbeds for three, was clean, had a TV and private bathroom - everything you want in a hostel. Breakfast is included in price of 10,000CLP ($20US) per person, but we paid 2,000CLP extra for dinner, which was really delicious - traditional Chilean food called charquican, made by the husband.
Great place to rest your head for a night if you are on the road in Chile. Includes secure parking spot.

Reserva Anulada en ultimo momento y responde con groserias

Según ellos les fallo el sistema de reserva, siendo que se llamo para confirmar. No dieron ninguna solución, insultaron groseramente cuando se les dijo incompetentes, siguieron insultando. Pésima atención y groseros. Cuidado, NO reservar ahí.

Lindo pero mal olor

Hostal lindo y cumple con los requisitos de un hostal de paso. Buen desayuno. El único pero es que la pieza estaba hedionda a humedad y viejoa y lo taparon con lysoform lo que me hizo imposible dormir. Sin el olor hubiera sido perfecto.
