Stay 2 nights

Excellent staff attention, very welcoming place, the information of the facilities was super clear and we were allowed to use the shared facilities after check out until waiting for our flight, as they had a wine cellar.
The cafeteria service was not available on Saturday, but we made use of Sunday and everything flawless.

Needs cleaning

The Hostal has really nice exterior spaces but needs a really good clean just to make it acceptable. They use blankets with a just sheet underneath them which is not hygienic.

Happy staff = Happy guests

I really loved staying at El Punto where the German hosts have created a very unique atmosphere. You hear and see the staff laughing and smiling all the time and it made me think that this must be an amazing place to work. Naturally such a positive vibe creates a really nice energy and positive atmosphere. The hostal is super cosy and clean and the food they serve at the cafe is really good (with vegetarian options). Breakfast was AMAZING!!!! They organise a ton of tours with an eco friendly agency. The only thing is that the mattress was not the best I have slept in, but it was ok.
Overall a fantastic stay in a really cute and welcoming hostal.

Fantastic!

We had a great time at the Hostal el Punto. The owners and all employees are very very nice, the facilities are clean (even the woolen blankets are changed after checkout, not only the bedsheet/-spread) and well kept, and the service is great, while room prices are reasonable. The cafeteria and bar are nice places to have a very good and budget-friendly Pisco Sour or other beverage with new friends you get to make in the hostel. There’s really nothing to criticize!

Good security, close to the bus terminal

A pretty nice hostel with a good cafeteria. Breakfast was free and plentiful and the prices for lunch and dinner were quite reasonable for high quality food. The rooms around reception can be quite noisy, particularly in the mornings with people checking out, so ask for a room closer to the back. There is no kitchen due to the cafeteria so keep that in mind and getting laundry done was quite expensive.
