The young woman at the front desk for check in was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Nice terrace on the 8th floor with a beautiful view.

They stole my hoops from my room.
Unfortunately the second time I stayed, they stole my sparkler hoops from the wake.
I'm waiting for a response, but they say it's my word against theirs.
I'm very disappointed, it was a gift from my mom.
I filed a complaint in Pdi.

Good hotel, very comfortable room but even though i did not need a/c there is none in the rooms.

Old, outdated, in a very poor part of town
The hotel is from another era. I paid extra for a suite and that was a good choice (and not much extra). Two rooms though the living room was small and had too much furniture, limiting is usefulness but it was a good place to store my bags. The bed was large and comfortable, though the heater didn’t work and the room was very cold at night and the 1 thin extra blanket wasn’t enough, and I’m pretty tolerant of the cold. The room was very noisy until after midnight, being located on a very busy road and with inadequate sound insulation.
The TV was larger enough but the 2 of 3 channels were unavailable yet one had to slog though them all to find anything. No channel guide was provided so it was a slog.
Electrical outlets were limited but there was a convenient one by the bed and that was ok, though charging my phone, note pad and laptop from one outlet at the bed was inconvenient. Given that they advertise this for business travelers that’s a misalignment.
The guy who checked me in was friendly but spoke no English. My Spanish is pretty good so we got by, but it was like pulling teeth to get him to close our my bill at check in (I was leaving at 5am and didn’t want to spend the extra time doing this at 4:45 - I do this often and it’s never a problem. Except here).
Breakfast is provided and the spread looked good, though it doesn’t start until 6am. Though I was able to get a cup of coffee from the women setting up and that was lovely. There is an electric kettle in the room but no tea or coffee provided (seems like an oversight - why a kettle if there’s nothing to do with the hot water?).
The area is pretty bad. I wouldn’t wonder around at night. No stores or restaurants for about 2 or 3 miles. Run down, dirty, old and “low rent” part of town. On one hand, I appreciate seeing a bit of real life in these towns. On the other, arriving at 8pm and having no food options (there is none in the hotel) is something they might want to give notice of so I could have picked up a sandwich on the way in. Another example of how this just don’t seem to understand the business traveler.
It’s important to note there are two Costa Pacificos in town. This one is the Express, named I assume to compete with the Holdiay Inn Express (which is a fantastic hotel in a great part of town). The other is the Suites, which is 2 blocks from the Holiday Inn and, from the outside, looks much more modern. Note that the photo shown as the headline of this TripAdvisor listing is of the SUITES, not this hotel. Which is a bit misleading and I can’t help but think that’s intentional.
I was torn between 2 and 3 stars and really would like to give it 2.5. I went for 3 because in the end I got a good night’s sleep and had a hot shower in the morning, and those are the essentials of what I want for a hotel room. And the price is fair (though close to the Holiday Inn, which I can’t overstate how much better that hotel is than this one).

Fairly close to bus terminal but a little far from restaurants
We arrived late in the afternoon and the only restaurant open that time of day according to the front desk was a local type place down the block which was quite good. The next day we needed to get an Uber downtown for more selection. The room was very clean and when we asked the maid about the air conditioning she explained that we couldn’t make it cooler but she did bring us a fan which is really all we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a nice modern shower. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection and they even came around and offered scrambled eggs.
