I didn't spend much time in the room beyond sleeping and showering, and it was adequate for that. This isn't a traditional hotel, if that's what you're expecting — it's a set of converted rooms behind a cafe. The shower had good water pressure and the water stayed hot. A small table in the bathroom would help, since vanity space is limited and there's nowhere to set things down. The same goes for the shower, which had no shelf or ledge for soap and shampoo. The mini-split kept the room at a comfortable temperature, and the location was convenient. Worth noting: there were rodent/pest control traps along the side of the building and behind the bed in the room but I didn't see or hear any pests for the few days I was there. I had little interaction with staff, so I can't comment on that.

Plush hotel was a no frills hotel. On the positive, the location is good, with great proximity to restaurants, parks and transit. While staff is friendly when you see them, I rarely saw anyone. The bed was comfortable and room was quiet. The not so good, the shower was very tight, the table was wobbly, the hanger space shared with the coffee maker. The hallway was in need of paint, which it appeared was in process.

My stay at Plush Hotel was overshadowed by a major issue: the hotel fire alarm was activated in the middle of the night on two consecutive nights. Both times, guests were evacuated and left standing outside for nearly an hour while the situation was addressed.
Hotel staff later explained that the alarms were triggered by a guest smoking in their room. After the first incident, we were told staff were conducting a "walk-through." After the second, we were informed the guest had been fined. While I appreciate that safety procedures must be followed, I was disappointed by the hotel's response to the disruption experienced by every other guest.
Despite two nights of interrupted sleep and significant inconvenience, management offered nothing beyond an apology—not even a small goodwill gesture to acknowledge the impact on paying guests.
When you pay for a hotel, you expect a safe, comfortable, and restful stay. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. The repeated false alarms also raised concerns about the hotel's fire detection and incident management.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Plush Hotel. Safety is important, but so is how a hotel cares for its guests when things go wrong.

Do not book at any cost, if something goes wrong you are by yourself

Stayed at this hotel for two nights - the smoke alarm in the building went off for two nights in a row at the exact same timestamp, at 2:30am in the morning. The Toronto fire department was called as everyone exited both days. The owners' excuse was that a guest was smoking, note this happened two days in a row at the same timestamp in the morning. That is either the world's greatest coincidence or a malfunctioning smoke alarm that looked like it was running a badly programmed test, there was no smell of smoke in any of the vents. The owners refused to take ownership of the issue and their attempt at compensation was a $50 refund on a $480 booking.

Location is perfect, price is perfect, rooms and corridors were clean. However, this is not a hotel, please don’t book if you are expecting a hotel. The self check is not easy and you have to pay an extra $200 Canadian dollars to get access to the check in details. This amount is refunded only after they check that the remote controls are in the room( not sure what the obsession with remote controls is but no one is going to steal remote controls!). The phone number says it’s for WhatsApp but no one seems to check it, and l don’t think the staff know that they have WhatsApp. There were rats in the room, when we got there ( we have video evidence) it took us almost all night to get the rats out of the room as they kept hiding. You have to pay about $40 per day if you want house keeping and every other service is chargeable. The shower didn’t drain and if you run the water for more than 3 mins it over flows out of the cubicle. Which made it really uncomfortable to shower. If you are an adult over 21 ( or children) l wouldn’t recommend these rooms to save your dignity from the embarrassment of hearing all the sexual sounds and screaming in the other rooms. And there is no lift but 3 floors.
