Friendly Staff, Poor Upkeep

The front desk staff, breakfast staff, and housekeeping staff were all great. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and pleasant, and I especially want to make clear that my concerns are not about the staff. The breakfast also had a good variety of options, the Wi-Fi was good, and the bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately, the overall condition and upkeep of the property were very disappointing. It feels like very little maintenance is being done. There were stains on the lampshades, lots of areas needing touch-up paint, a missing knob on the dresser, mold stains in the shower grout, carpet coming up, curtains coming off their hooks, and a sofa that was visibly stained and quite dirty. The curtains and furnishings also looked very old.
I think the housekeeping staff are doing what they can, but many of these issues are clearly maintenance and property-investment issues rather than housekeeping issues. I can overlook dated interiors if a hotel is clean and well maintained, but the lack of ongoing maintenance was hard to overlook.
I wonder if the hotel is anticipating a major renovation or overhaul and is simply not investing much in maintenance in the meantime. If that's the case, it would explain some of what we saw.
Overall, 3 stars. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Unfortunately, the condition of the property kept this from being a higher-rated stay.

the mirrors were all dirty.I couldn't connect the Internet in my phone neither my sons tablet and also couldn't connect on the tv

There was only one elevator in operation while the other elevator was under maintenance. We were fortunate we stayed on the second floor where we ended up using the stairs for most of our stay. We only used the elevator once during check-in and once when we checked out. We stayed at another Residence Inn in New Brunswick later in the week and it was a similar situation with only one elevator in operation while the other was being fixed.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Daily parking cost was a bit high given this is Moncton NB not Quebec City, Montreal or Toronto.

Not lixurious but a very functional place for a family stay while exploring the maritimes.
