Fantastic hotel with staff who go the extra mile

The staff are fantastic there, so friendly helpful and informative, we couldn’t ask for more .
The location is brilliant just across from the station and there is a restaurant and bar available which works well .
This isn’t a 4 star hotel , so you don’t get lots of extra touches in the room but but everything is clean and working and very comfy beds which for our family was most important.
Thank you for making our trip to Jasper so much better with all the tips and guidance , it was greatly appreciated.

Deceitful.

The old-fashioned nature of this hotel might seem charming to you, but for us it was the least. After our departure, money was deducted from our deposit due to supposedly "unusable" bedding and towels. A totally unbelievable and incorrect reason. Despite our protest, the management refused to refund. This feels like pure scam. Absolutely not recommended.

Dated

Dated hotel with dated and cramped rooms due to partly useless (and large) furniture. Room was warm, but opening the window impossible due to generator noise and trains. Too expensive for what you get. Note: several rooms come without a private bathroom. We had one, but it was also small and dated.

Well situated, clean and a bit worn down

Right in the heart of town across from the Jasper visitor centre makes this a convenient base location. It's charming in an historic hotel that the rooms are clean and "old timey" decorated, in keeping with the hotel's overall frontier atmosphere, but the bathroom fixtures are pretty dated and well worn. Grand lobby! It was quieter than we expected. Front desk staff were pleasant but not always well informed. When we first asked if there was on-site (vs curb side) parking we were told "I don't know" but then a colleague arrived to direct us to some sports behind the hotel, off the rear laneway. There are probably better rooms at the high-summer-rate price we paid that are located further from the centre of town.

Another Great Week Of Skiing

Spent 7 nights at this hotel. Known as the Atha-B by locals, it is centrally located in beautiful Jasper townsite, one block from the train station, has it's own restaurant, O'Shea's located just off the lobby, plus two bars to choose from. There are many other restaurants located within easy walking distance in all directions. Many shops to supply you with all the seasons wear and equipment to enjoy the many activities that Jasper National Park has to offer. There is ample parking around the townsite of Jasper but all stores shops are close by if you prefer to walk and take in the scenery as you venture around.
