Came for the Price, Stayed for the Hot Tub and Breakfast

This place did not pretend to be something it is not, and I respect that. The price was perfectly representative of the establishment. The room is a bit dated, but it was clean, and that is what matters most.
The thermostat was one of those old slide controls, and it appeared to be more of a suggestion than a control. I slid it around with optimism, but the temperature did its own thing. The shower head is also due for an upgrade, but the shower still worked fine.
On the bright side, the staff were genuinely friendly, the hot tub was actually hot (rare win), and breakfast was great. If you are passing through Golden and want good value, a clean room, and a solid soak, this is a perfectly reasonable stop.

Was using Golden as a stop off place for a further destination in Bc I worked all day got off at five and got ready. I got on the road and it’s 41/2 hrs from Red Deer to Golden giving her. Got to Golden at 11 and was told they gave up my room and couldn’t contact me when I haven’t checked in yet at a late time. Dah I was driving through the mountains you don’t get cell service. So I was stuck in golden without a room in the summer at 11 o’clock

Wonderful view. Good breakfast. Room is very clean. Staff was polite. Noise level was not good. Rooms are not sound proof at all. We could plainly hear our neighbours who were noisy and loud, very early in the morning. Banging suitcases against the adjoining door. We could hear everything in room and hallway.

Great place to stay for a road trip! The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The location was convenient, and overall it was good value for the price.

It was a very convenient stop on our way back from Vancouver. It was clean and the staff were friendly.
