Beautiful, quiet, restful lakeside retreat space

I can't speak highly enough about the Sentinel and our experience there. Firstly, the location is absolutely breathtaking. The drive there is beautiful. The Sentinel is situated on the lake with a view that makes you feel like you have the entire lake to yourselves. There are zero houses, roads, or signs of human life across the lake as far as your eyes can see -- I haven't experienced this before. It makes you feel remote in nature, which was very special for our retreat experience. Secondly, the Sentinel itself is stunning, with comfortable rooms with lake views, a cedar hot tub and sauna, lake access, and lots of places to rest and relax comfortably. Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable. We loved the view from our room. The area is so still and quiet; it feels magical. If there is some wind, you can really only hear the waves on the lakeshore, and the occasional boat goes by. Lastly, the food! They provide such care and attention to nourishing, organic, and delicious food, which made us feel very well taken care of physically, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually during our time here. I can't recommend the Sentinel enough.

It's a very unique location on the water with interesting artwork all over the property, four acres to explore, various buildings including a yurt and a yoga studio. We stayed only one night but we hesitated to leave because the vibe was very relaxing.

We were there for the tour of the property, were so creeped out by the staff and set up of the rooms that were visible to everyone using the area, we found a new hotel. Beautiful property though

Our trip to The Sentinel was originally planned to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but somewhere along the way life, work, and the everyday hustle had started taking a toll on our marriage. We needed more than a getaway… we needed time to truly reconnect.
When I booked our stay at The Sentinel, I honestly had no idea just how special this place would be. The peace and serenity there was exactly what our hearts needed. The breathtaking views of the lake and mountains created the perfect atmosphere to slow down, breathe, and simply be together again.
Somewhere between the quiet mornings, the beautiful scenery, and uninterrupted time together… we found each other again. More importantly, we remembered exactly why we fell in love in the first place.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and recharge your soul, The Sentinel is truly something special.
